The clam chowder was excellent and the Kachemak Bay mussels were divine!! But my chargrilled halibut was not cooked completely and had to be sent back - I expected better for $27! Stick with the appetizers!!

We had Salmon and the Char Broiled Seafood Platter. The seafood was was good. The salad with Raspberry Salad dressing was super along with the sour dough bread. Service was prompt and friendly even though they were super busy. We had reservations which are necessary in August. Prices are high compared to SC.

We shared orders of steamed clams, grilled mixed seafood (shrimp, scallops, salmon, and halibut) and fresh oysters. Service was prompt and seafood was the best we had in Alaska. Beer and wine only. Terrific view of the water. Surrounding shops are tourist curios type shops.

After reading the reviews we decided to try Captain Pattie's. We were a little disappointed. The chowder was excellent and a great value. The stuffed mushrooms, however, were nothing to write home about. Lots of butter, lots of cheese, slightly fishy. The grilled halibut and scallops were pretty good, but pricey. Service, however was excellent, and our seat near the... More

Definitely the best seafood place around here. It was actually our second time here, we liked it so much the first time, decided to come back on our second trip to Alaska! We were here on a warm day for lunch and basically ordered a bunch of stuff from their appetizer menu along with beer! Everything was fresh and delicious.... More

We greatly enjoyed our lunch at Captain Patties. My kids had the fried halibut and fries and loved it. The breading was light (it was a very light beer batter, like tempura) and the fish was cooked perfectly. I had the baked halibut in a dill sauce and it was delicious. The portion of fish seemed smaller than the portion... More

We just returned from 17 days in Alaska and were looking all over for great seafood surprisingly this was where we finally found it. We thought it would be just the same old tourist food. It was wonderful, try the stuffed crab mushrooms and the captain's plate and do not skip the wonderful chowder. YUM!

Our guide from Authentic Alaska suggested Patties. Great choice. Loooong wait. Make reservations if you plan to go. The server was perky and the food was awesome.

Thought the price was quite high. One portion of King Crab and a glass of wine and a piece of cake cost me USD 110.-- The king crab tasted pretty salty.

Our boat captain suggested that we take a few fillets from our catch that day to Captain Patties for our dinner. The restaurant is a busy basic seafood place with nice water view. We selected 3 preparations - batter fried, grilled and baked. The four of us each had a favorite but agreed that all were very nice. The parmesan... More
