I love how they arrange the menu-- by fish or shellfish type and then list the different preparations. So you can have your fish grilled or batter fried or baked... The view of the bay from the window table is excellent. The service was spot on. The drink list is extensive. What's not to love here?

After dodging the crowds on the spit, it was relaxing to have lunch at Captain Patties. The halibut chunks were not overcooked and the slaw was very tasty. I had fries and M substituted slaw for fries. Both were prepared just right. We shared. The service was prompt and courteous. We would go back anytime we are in Homer again.

Ate here for lunch after a long day kayaking. It wasn't the best clam chowder and halibut I've had in AK but the halibut was cooked perfectly. Everything was tasty and good sized. They have a wonderful view to top it all off!

Although I enjoyed eating at Captain Patties Fish House, I thought that the halibut was dry and did not taste fresh. Perhaps it was just overcooked for my taste. The location on the spit is fun and the ambience is friendly.

The view was great, but they overcooked the halibut. When you do that to a great fresh caught fish like halibut, you deserve to be panned. Service was decent but nothing special.

Had lunch with sister in law. Good food but small portions. Would not have been enough for a man. Maybe lunch portions are smaller than dinner??

We got the baked halibut and baked salmon. The fish was cooked perfectly and view was beautiful. Chowder was also very good. They were very busy, but we came in between lunch and dinner and were able to get a table in about a half hour. Waitress was nice, but brought me the wrong beverage, and later asked my husband... I had the halibut fish and chips and my wife had the baked halibut. We both were very pleased with our meal. The wait staff was very attentive and the restaurant is very bright and cheerful. This is a good choice for dining on the Spit. I would recommend reservations if eating during regular dining hours.

This restaurant was recommended by the landlord of the house we were staying at in Homer. I was ok, but we have eaten at much better restaurants while touring Alaska. It's small, our table was in a lousy location(Next to the cash register by the door) and the hostess would not move us to another location. The food was average,... More

I had the fresh Halibut and my wife had a ribeye steak. Both dishes were cooked to perfection! We shared a dessert. The service was outstanding, thanks Amy! It was expensive($81 with tip and soft drinks) but I suppose everything on the Spit in Homer is.
