The place was packed and we had to make reservations. The food was good but nothing extraordinary. The pieces however were quite expensive. In my opinion the price did not match the food quality.

Captain Patties has been my best dinner experience in Homer to date. The grilled halibut is really good. It is nice to have a tasty and healthier option on the Spit. That said, the service I've received there could use some major improvements, and the sides are nothing special. Portions are good and you won't leave hungry, but the food... More

Always a sure bet. next door to my other favorite eatery, and just as good. This is a little higher end restaurant and great for a sit down dining experience. Professional and courteous to all and very established atmosphere. Clients have also raved about this eatery too. Goof fried clams....

The fact is that every place on the Homer Spit is going to be on the pricey side, so it's important to start with that expectation. We chose Captain Pattie's based on other reviews and our tour guide (who was NOT getting kickbacks). What we got was very good food, lot's of it, excellent service, and a bill that was... More

I'm going to be a little harsh as for 35 bucks I should have gotten five star food! Well not the case, I had the grilled seafood combo. This came on a stick with Halibut,Salmon,Scallops, and Shirmp! Sounds great and it was tasty, but they were all cooked together. Now I'm not a chef but I know they cook at different... More

We ate there two of the three nights we stayed on the Spit. They were prepared to cook you own fish which was great. They also had a shrimp evening which we missed because we were eating our own fish which looked wonderful. It is a bit chaotic so get there early, book a table and take a wander along... More

Not sure how this happened but a review I posted earlier was put on another restaurant , we did not eat at Maura's café so I'm very sorry for the mix up ! We did however eat twice at Captain Patties Fish House and it was wonderful . They were closing the next week and were having nightly specials .... More

We should have made a reservation for this very popular restaurant. But half hour wait was worth it. I had salmon and my wife had halibut. Both were excellently prepared. Even though it was near to closing time, we were not rushed. The next day, we planned to go to an island and we needed to buy supplies. We asked... More
