Captain Patties is a fish house with an Alaskan attitude. This cozy place on the Homer spit is the result of consolidating and merging several small shops into one. The cooking is done on the 2nd floor and sent downstairs by dumb waiter. Nothing else about the place is dumb. The walls are covered with fish of every medium and... More

Captain Patties is well known and is very popular. It is advisable to get there early to have a table ready for you. Although they specialize in seafood, they have other options available. Attentive service and well prepared food.

We stayed at a B&B and were told to visit Captain Pattie's located on the spit for some great food. The fish was fresh and tasty. Patty visited with our table and is very hospitable. Great view from the dining area. Beer options were local.

I had read about this restaurant before we went to Homer this summer and we wanted to try it. The food was excellent, the service was great, we had a lovely view of the beach. We got there just ahead of the dinner crowd so we didn't have a long wait. You can get good fish & chips lots of... More

The halibut was fresh and very tasty. The seasoning was not overdone. We were lucky to get into the restaurant without reservations. We noticed many folks being turned away for a much later time to come back. The food was excellent! Defiantly worth a visit if you are in Homer.

We stayed right next door to Captain Patties and heard people on our first night mention the three hour wait. So, the second day, I ran in at lunch time and made dinner reservations. The meal was excellent, and the service was some of the best we had while in Alaska. Would it be worth a three hour wait? I... More

My husband went Halibut fishing in Homer and Captain Pattie's cooked some of it for us for dinner. They prepared it three different ways for us and each was incredibly delicious! We had a great bottle of wine, great service and a nice conversation with the owner. This is a winner in Homer! 5 stars all the way!

We stopped for lunch our first day on the Homer Spit. After lunch we made dinner reservations for our last night in Homer. Casual, busy, very good food. Very good service.

Yes, a bit pricey but the quality and service is exceptional. It's always busy even when the season is winding down. Seems to be the first choice for most travelers and locals. We asked several locals for recommendations and it was always one of the top. Staff and friendly and courteous even when the lines are long and the restaurant... More
