Good Fun and Great Owners

We stopped in early May and there weren't many restaurants open. This was one of them. My husband and two kiddos (ages 2 and 4) went and ate some yummy fish and chips. The owner was great! He chatted with us and some other travelers and gave them free beer and us free, delicious, homemade carrot... read more

We head to Homer every May for a small family vacation and we always make a point to stop in for the Halibut Fish & Chips before we leave the spit. The best I've had anywhere! Their milkshakes and the view off the spit are worth a trip if you aren't a fish person too!

No thanks. Don't get me wrong. Halibut is good on it's worst day but the prices have gone outta sight at this joint.

I was told about the good halibut at BWFChips by a client. So after hearing about the place again by locals and visitors, we decided on one warm late afternoon to crank up the motorcycles and go have dinner in Homer (We live in Kenai). After a very pleasant ride we pulled up to the curb to see it was... More

I had fish & chips and they were good, but it's hard to mess up fish & chips, especially when you're cooking Alaska cod or halibut.

My family of four ate here a few evenings ago, recommended by a friend. We found it overpriced, for starters. For two orders of halibut and chips, one cod and chips, and a kids' corn dog, plus two beers and two kids tetra-pak juices, we paid $78 before tip. I thought that was exorbitant given the amount of food and... More

This place does really well with their fish and chips! It is clean and fast and a great view for it is on the beach!

My husband and I ate here while staying at the Land's End Resort. Loved the Halibut, the batter was amazing, fish was hot and not at all greasy, the tartar was equally delicious. Left so full but wanting to eat more :) No sure which Hefeweizen we had on tap but it was very good too.

We ate here our last night on the Spit and were pleased. We tried to get into Captain Pattie's but they had a long wait. We walked down the boardwalk a short distance and found this place. We're happy we did. I had a halibut sandwich and my wife had halibut and chips, both were excellent. They were served quickly... More

My husband had a bread bowl of clam chowder which was okay. Not having any other soups, I chose a salmon burger which was also okay. The service was reasonably quick, but I suspect that there are better choices nearby.
