Good, Solid American Food

Mt wife and I occasionally go here for the big hearty breakfasts that they serve, and free coffee refills. I like the 1950's style decor and booths, they also have a counter with stools, authentic Americana. They have a big menu and food is served fresh and hot. You can't go wrong eating here. Great food! Quick service. We were served by the owner. Not many restaurants opened in Homer during February, except the Duncan House. However, I would definitely return to eat here regardless of which ones were open,.

As locals we go to the Duncan House at least once a week. More often in the summer when I take flying clients there for lunch. The Duncan House has something that is often missing in the come-and-go of many other Homer eateries, they have consistent quality and service. Their prices are also reasonable compared to the places that prey... More

Hmmm Hungry! My wife and I decided to have date afternoon and go to the Duncan House. Although busy, I was immediately greeted and told seating would be a minute or two. While waiting I saw my favorite sign there about how chickens may someday be allowed to cross the road without their motives being questioned! Love it. The motif... More

As a local Homeroid I eat at the Duncan House multiple times each week for the above mentioned reasons, plus for a local cafe the D.H. offers quite a variety of dishes. The wait staff are consistently pleasant, efficient, and friendly. My customized orders are always handled with a smile. I've never seen a staff person smoking in the restaurant... More

The place is dirty and filled with dust, bacon was served almost raw, eggs were cold. Not a place I want to visit again.

This place knows what a breakfast house should be and delivers it with comfort and grace. Biscuits and gravy. Reindeer sausage. Fresh coffee. Everything in order, pleasant, pleasant, pleasant - relaxed and natural. Would return 100 times at least.

We had eaten breakfast here 15 years ago and remembered it was good. Tried is again and was impressed with the selection and size of the meal, if fact we came here three times while on vacation.

Okay, we knew we wouldn't be able to eat it all, but ordered our meal AND an extra meal just because it sounded so good. We were not disappointed. Biscuits and gravy, standard breakfast fare and the stuffed French toast were all so yum, yum!

Set a little apart from other eating places in Homer, but worth a visit. Great breakfasts, but close at 2 pm and so no dinners ( shame).
