The food was pricey, but worth it. I had a risotto with salmon that was done absolutely perfectly. The kids ordered fish and chips and said it was amazing.

This is probably more of a commentary on the cost of food on the Spit. We went to a sushi place a few miles away from the Spit and it was reasonably priced (at least for Alaska). We ended up spending close to $275 for 2 adults and 3 kids. My wife and I split the $75 fresh seafood platter... More

The Fresh Catch Restaurant is hands down the best, freshest seafood place in Homer. We discovered it late in our stay, having sampled the ones we usually did, which are good, but this place has location, on the water, ambiance is comfortable but not stuffy, clean and wait staff efficient without being intrusive. This is a 5 star place. Will... More

Unexpectedly were able to get a table for four at this popular spot, on a Saturday evening. Our waitress, Katie, was very good, but there seem to be some kitchen issues. Drink order taken and delivered. Food order not taken very promptly, but we're on vacation and didn't mind. We DID notice a young couple at a nearby table that... More

We had a group of 20. We'd made reservations weeks out and they were ready for us but after that things were not as prepared as we'd hoped. 3 tables of 7 ordered appetizers and meals. The appetizers were served but " they didn't have enough plates " to give each person one. How am I to eat dripping in... More

A table by the window was reserved for my birthday meal. We had a wonderful view of the beach at low tide. I ordered the seafood platter which is a huge plate filled with multiple kinds of fresh caught seafood. My wife got a King crab risotto with grilled halibut. Everything was delicious!!

Food is OK but service is bad. We went on July 14th and our waitress wasn't even polite. Never seen her smile.

Skip the tourist restaurant Capt Paddy's and eat here. The prices are slightly lower, and the food is better. We had halibut with red quinoa and tahini sauce and it was wonderful and very filling. Along with an Alaskan Amber, it was a great meal!

Stopped in for a late lunch. While the service was a little slow, it is Homer, what else do you have to hurry off and do. Decent wine selection & fantastic food. We had the fish sandwich & Cubano sandwich - both delicious. There were some kids that stopped in to order some fries to go - when told it... More

If you want really good seafood this is the place. Kudos to the chef! Can't get any closer to where it gets caught. Service not the best. The only way we found out about the special that day was we overheard our waitress telling someone at another table about it. When I think about our waitress the descriptors bored and... More
