The place my husband and I had wanted to have dinner was booked so we were referred to Fresh Catch. Food was good but nothing special. I had the fish and chips which I thought were pricey for 3 pieces of fish and a small amount of fries. However the halibut was coated just right so that the... read more

This restaurant offers indoor and patio seating. We chose the indoor as it offered nice views of the water. i ordered chowder which was hearty and delicious as well as a fresh halibut plate. My husband chose a salad and steak.

Twice the bed and breakfast owners where I have stayed have highly recommended this restaurant, but I have yet to see the appeal. My first meal here was too spicy to eat and the second time I tried to eat here they were apparently just days from closing for the season and were out of most fresh seafood (they didn't... More

So - I'm not a seafood lover. In fact I only ate Salmon because I was in Alaska, and it's fresh. At Fresh Catch, it also was well prepared, and artfully plated with the most delicious seaweed (think sweetened like some coleslaw) atop. I loved it. The chef knew how to please the eye and stomach. My husband had Halibut,... More

The owner or manager (not sure which) was our server. He was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful with the menu. I had fish and chips (very good) and my wife had halibut curry (delicious and unique). We tried an Alaskan wine and enjoyed it very much. The restaurant has a comfortable relaxed atmosphere -- plenty of space between tables.

This is one of my son and daughter-in-law's favorite spots in Homer, and I can see why. It is not a big place, but had seating for our party of 5. You can bring your own wine for a cork fee. The staff was extremely attentive. Made great suggestions for dinner. We had halibut, of course, and I had the... More

We were looking for a place to have dinner and headed out to the spit. I really didn't want to eat out there because it seemed very commercial. We just happened to see the sign for Fresh Catch and checked out the menu. After getting four people to agree on going there we headed into the small restaurant. We didn't... More

Went last week in August for dinner for 2 and got in without waiting for the best seat in restaurant in corner by window. I had the king crab risotto w/halibut which was absolutely delicious. Generous portion size and cooked to perfection. My husband had a spicy halibut plate I forgot what it was called but he ate it all.... More

Excellent views of Kachemak Bay where we saw a whale breach while having one of their good draught beer selections. Good halibut and chips too, but after eating the halibut and chips at Captain Patties the evening before, these didn't quite make it for me. They were more expensive and did not include a salad nor cole slaw. The halibut... More
