You have to get off the spit and explore a bit to find the old part of Homer where Maura's Café is located but worth the trip! Wonderful food and quaint atmosphere. The worst problem is trying to choose what to order out of all the choices, but whatever you order will be delicious.

I am obsessed with this place. I just recently went to this cute little french boutique little place and it was amazing. I was kind of picky and wanted just eggs and a veggie hash without cheese and she whipped up the most amazing omlette I've honestly ever had. The food, service, and atmosphere was top notch. The music was... More

Maura's the kind of place I would put on my road trip list. The food is delicious and healthy, with an artistic presentation. This restaurant is at the top of my list in Homer and possible across the state.

I recommend the brioche strata for breakfast, with a side of roasted veggies. Sandwiches are varied, and you can get them in a rice wrapper if bread isn't your thing. Tomato-basil soup is a staple, and definitely ranks as comfort food for me. Also, the cheese! A great deli selection of european cheeses. The Garden room is great for business... More

Outstanding eclectic menu that is artistically delivered. Having a job that places me all over the state and eating out continuously, I can say with confidence that this has to be my favorite place to have lunch in the state of Alaska.

They serve healthy food at this place. Great sandwiches with sprouts and all the veggies my wife likes. I think their tomato soup is incredible. Stop in you won't regret it.

Everyone in our party was delighted with their breakfast at Maura's. Breakfast sandwiches (gourmet on ciabatta- not your average breakfast sandwich to be sure!), quiche, crepes with fresh berries, eggs all ways served with root vegetable hash...really you cannot make a poor voice here. Fresh, interesting, delicious! Make Maura's a stop on your trip to Homer!

We finally made it here on our last day in Homer and we were delighted that we did! The breakfast was excellent in this teeny tiny little place. Don't let the size fool you, the food was made to order, presented beautifully and extremely tasty! The staff was friendly and helpful to me with suggestions, as I am gluten free... More
