We found this nice family type restaurant while driving around Homer. The breakfast was wonderful. Everything from omelets to waffles to eggs benedict were on the menu. You can get reindeer sausage and awesome home-fries to go with it. So glad we found it.

Nice family atmosphere and good food at good prices. Service was somewhat inexperienced but we were in no hurry and overall were very happy with our meal.

I don't know what the other reviewers were talking about... The food was absolutely excellent, it was very family friendly, and I can honestly say I have never in my life received better service. The atmosphere was a little old fashioned, but it had a nice home town feel. If you like great food and have kids, then come hungry.

The sourdough pancakes were very good. The services was also very good and the food was provided quickly.

We ate there in january, we were having a hard time finding a place that was open in the winter in Homer. I had the patty melt and I don't know what the meat was but, I was only could finish a little over half of it and the fries tasted like they hadn't changed the oil since the summer.

We ate at Sept. 2 and 3rd. Food was fine for us. Portions so big. We got their special both nights and breakfast once. I liked the salad bar. I had an omelet for breakfast and it was really good. The best thing about this place though was our waitress Sissy. She was so friendly and kept making sure everything... More

Not trying to be mean but once and only once. REALLY slow service when it was not-crowded! Food was really bad and this is diner food, should be hard to mess up! Salad bar was very small for $15 and unappetizing. Grilled cheese was bad- what did they put on the bread? Only vegetable side offered was canned/frozen peas. Asked... More

Avoid this place! Floor was dirty, table was dirty, plates were dirty, silverware was dirty. Food was nothing short of AWFUL! The waitress was new...obviously new, possibly (probably?) her first day, and poorly trained. I can forgive the waitress...we've all been new on the job, I blame the management! We did complain to a woman that we thought was in... More

We arrived late in town as a large group so this was our only alternative. The waitress was friendly and menu looked ok, so we all trundled in and ordered. Our first time in halibut country, so those of us who could have this, chose it - they only had 5 left - these were very expensive at just under... More

Went to the Caribou for breakfast. While it was a bit off the prime season (early September), the guy taking the orders was also the cook. He was VERY busy trying to take orders, cook and serve all at the same time. Service was slow due to the short staffing. Breakfast was good, once it finally arrived, but would not... More
