We live in Yukon and go to Haines once in awhile. We always go to the Bamboo room for awesome fish & chips-- also and love their breakfasts, especially eggs bene.

13 dollar burger had nothing really on it... I've had better frozen cardboard patties. Probably should have had the special, thats what most the locals were having.

We were going to eat here just once, ended up here 3 times on a week long visit! We ate the Halibut and Chips twice, so far the best we have had in Alaska! Great service and reasonably priced. My husband had a beer from Haines brewery he says it was excellent. in the bar it was very cozy and great music.

The food was very good.The workers were nice and helpful.We also meet Dakota Fred there,He gave us his card and had one of the waitress to take our picture with him. If we are ever in Haines again we will eat there for sure.

Had the halibut and fries and shouldn't have ordered the salad - too much food! Excellent fish and chips. We ate in the Bar side and it was comfortable. Prices seemed reasonable for quantity and quality of food.

Great halibut and chips. Good portions of big chunks of fish; lightly battered. The french fries are probably frozen from a bag, but the halibut more than makes up for that. The grilled Halibut sandwich is also excellent.

We asked a local where to get the best halibut. He gave us a ride right to the door of the Bamboo Room. We had made it a point to eat halibut in every port. This is a very much a diner with a bar attached. Be aware halibut is expensive, even in Alaska. The fish & chips are $24.... More

Great, hearty, basic food... right across from our motel... super-friendly wait staff (with interesting stories!)... you can't go wrong with the Bamboo Room!
