I had a great breakfast here - vegetarian omelette and good coffee. I had a takeaway almond croissant the next day. Excellent food, and such warm and friendly service. Highly recommend.

So delicious and the people were so kind! Highly recommend !! We had a few things but the cheese bagel was amazing!!
The restaurant and bakery were amazing. The staff was very helpful and courteous and flexible with our schedule!
The town was shut down on this holiday except for Chilkat Bakery and we picked it in any case from the reviews. Family operated, friendly and where the locals go. The food was good and local celebrities entered for the dining experience.
We ate there a couple times for Breakfast. Its very good. Looking forward to eating there agian. Tracey
Excellent Thai, delicious bakery, generous portions, attentive and cheerful staff. Rare to find such a gem in an isolated tiny village. Don't pass up the chance to eat here!
Starters that had been microwaved, still half frozen on one side. Poorly flavoured curries with cold rice. Food given to the wrong table. Very polite staff but don't eat dinner here! Generally a terrible meal out and I'm very upset to have had to pay...for such rubbishMore
We went walking in search of good food. Wow did we ever find it! I had the best tempura shrimp- the taste rivaled the beautiful presentation of my plate. Hubby's orange chicken had great flavor as well. I enjoyed my Boba tea too. Staff were...very nice. On our way out we grabbed some pastries for later. Good move as they were a wonderful evening snack.More
Had two great meals here during my short visit to Haines. Enjoyed a large omelet in the morning, and Thai food in the evening. [They also have an American menu for dinner] Fortunately for me, they do Thai food Gluten Free. The food was very...good. The service was fast and friendly. The price was competitive for this isolated community [nothing is cheap here].More
We had nearly 50% of our meals at Chilkat Bakery. Their Thai food is awesome! We live in DC where there is excellent food, but this was amazing. The coffee, baked goods and burgers were also a hit. Something for every member of my picky...famiily!More
Great little bakery/restaurant in Haines. Very accomodating with the kids. Lovely, attentive owners who welcomed us back warmly 2 nights in a row. We organised to pick up breakfast from here at 8am on our way out to a tour. They had it all ready...to go when we ran in to collect.More
We had a group of 7 to eat, and we ate there many times. Service is slow for a group, as the kitchen must be small. The food is very good, however. We liked the omelets for breakfast. We ate from the American menu for...dinner, but they also have a Thai menu. The bakery items are excellent!More
Wonderful place to stay in Haines! The owner/operator (Miki) is the absolute sweetest host. She obviously went out of her way to make the room warm and inviting to us personally. The place is also within walking distance of almost everything you could possibly want...to see in downtown Haines. There are only a couple of spots on the far side of town you might want a car for. Also, the food at the bakery is worth visiting for by itself. The Tom Kha soup is world-class. The cinnamon rolls are the number 1 cinnamon roll I have had in my life. An absolute must-visit if you're going to be in Haines.More
We just stopped by for a quick sweet roll on the way out to explore Haines. Other folks were eating some tasty looking breakfasts. I heard one lady ask the waiter to check on her order, so it might be a little slow. I was...told by a local that they had very good Thai food in the evenings.More
Been here twice and enjoyed it both times, the owner is super friendly and nice and I really enjoyed my food. There seems to be a mix of different region dishes and I've thought both things I've order have been delicious - I didn't have...anything from the American menu but it seemed good too. You can ask for how spicy you prefer your food which is great when my partner doesn't like spicy but I do! I particularly enjoyed the kung pao chicken - it's lightly battered with plenty of vegetables in a large portion. I like the casual-ness of the atmosphere too - there aren't a ton of tables and you're not all on top of each other, so even though it's small it doesn't feel like you're sharing a conversation with the next table. It's informal and friendly and next time I'm in Haines I'm going back.More
