This is by and large the best international cuisine in alaska. Super tasty food, great drinks, a killer laid back ambiance, and friendly staff. Really a favorite every time I'm through haines.

Mosey's Cantina is on the far west side of the Haines harbour, by the cruise ship dock. Look for a large white building and then it is uphill a couple of blocks. We went on a local's recommendation for their fish tacos. We had them and their steak tacos; they come with rice and beans. They were good, but unfortunately... More

Loved the décor and location - a good mix of locals and tourists. Lots of conversation and laughter made for a lively atmosphere. Food was pretty good and quite authentic - liked the emphasis on fresh, organic ingredients and it was cooked with a light touch, not heavy, like some Tex-Mex food can be. Service was a bit lacking. The... More

Great atmosphere. Delicious food. I had the Tacos de Pescado and it was delicious. I enjoyed this part of town in Haines, near the old Fort. Great photo ops. Good place to walk around .

We were seated as soon as we arrived and the waitress was very pleasant. It got very busy shortly thereafter. It seems the locals eat here and I can see why. The food was very good as was the service.

Like many places in Haines, the servers seem to get easily overwhelmed when it gets busy at the restaurant. However, the food is good (they roast their own chiles, and the salsa is HOT!), and portions are really large - the burrito is definitely sharing size.

The food here is fantastic Mexican for Alaska. The four of us has a smorgasbord of tacos and enchiladas. The mole sauce was particularly good; the fish tacos were were fresh and nicely done. The calabacitas were tasty vegetarian option. And the salsa's good--very good for this far north. People who think of Mexican food as cheesy or greasy food... More

Although this is Tex-Mex for Haines this is the best place to eat. It is a very casual place, but the food was good, locally grown vegtables and herbs on the premises.
