We stopped on our way back to Haines to have dinner after a road trip into the Yukon. Great burgers and sandwiches! And, the prices are totally reasonable by Alaska standards. There was a Brown Bear across the road at the disc golf course! Service was solid--seemed like a great locals hangout.

We took the 40 minute ride up to the road house just based on the pictures alone. The rough-hewn cabin with old gas pumps out front just looked appealing to us so we jumped in the rent-a-car and headed out for lunch. Most of the items on the menu are fried - fish & chips, chicken strips, onion rings, etc.... More

In the middle of nowhere. Ordered a south of the border burger and onion rings and was amazed at how good it was. Largest homemade cookie ice cream sandwich I have ever seen. GREAT FOOD

Their claim is best burgers in Southeast Alaska and I bet that is not far from the truth. I am from Juneau and have eaten here many time, always the same. Very good food and fast, friendly service. Add in very nice setting and it is a winner.

You simply must stop at this little outpost along the Haines Highway. It has so much history to share with pictures everywhere. Our server (I am so sorry that I do not remember her name) was fantastic. She is a native of Haines and was eager to answer any questions we had. She led us to a visit with Dominic,... More

We drove from Haines back to the resturant on a rainy Sunday because we heard the burgers were good. Still looking for the great burgers from Texas, not bad, but not a Texas burger. Excellent service in a cute off the road place....would we return? Probably.

We recently spent the day visiting Haines while on a cruise ship traveling through Alaska. Rented a car and stopped (good luck!) at this small, friendly restaurant. Great hamburgers and service....one of the best burgers and onion rings I had in a long time......if traveling this way, stop and enjoy.!
