Server was really nice and we really enjoyed talking with him. The food was just bar food. Nothing special about the place and wouldn't go back again. Halibut sandwich dry and reindeer chili was so hot it was hard to eat. Cute and quirky on outside but a dive inside.

Sometimes you don't want to eat seafood in Alaska. Here at the Silvertip, we had the best hamburger in Alaska to date. Everyone made them big, but this was juicy and full of flavor! And the Alaskan Ale wasn't bad either! A great reward after a long drive from Homer!

Girdwood alone is that town "this is what I think of Alaska when I think of Alaska." Silvertip grill is the cutest little local stop. The service is great the atmosphere is "local" and the food was quick, cheap, and delicious!

While we were in town doing laundry (we had an RV for two weeks) my wife and I hung out here for an evening. Great Alaska beers and the atmosphere is perfect small town.

Had dinner here with family. A lot of locals, which is a good sign. Cheaper prices for Alaska standards. Halibut wrap was pretty tasty!

Very good Reuben sandwich. Awesome atmosphere and comfortable setting. The beer selection was excellent and the service was very pleasant. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and the portions were generous.

I had the halibut sandwich, which came with three pieces of battered halibut (lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles)...soooo yummy! Some of the best halibut I've eaten in Alaska! The service was great and friendly, even when my daughter spilled her entire glass of water all over the table and floor. Prices were reasonable. Not a "fancy" place, but comfortable and welcoming.... More

We though about not eating here, the atmosphere comparable to a family restaurant and a bar together, not too inviting. I'm glad we stayed! Fish and chips and burgers were really good, service was excellent!
