I had the halibut sandwich, which came with three pieces of battered halibut (lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles)...soooo yummy! Some of the best halibut I've eaten in Alaska! The service was great and friendly, even when my daughter spilled her entire glass of water all over the table and floor. Prices were reasonable. Not a "fancy" place, but comfortable and welcoming.... More

We though about not eating here, the atmosphere comparable to a family restaurant and a bar together, not too inviting. I'm glad we stayed! Fish and chips and burgers were really good, service was excellent!

We were pretty impressed with the small town of Girdwood, we were sad we were unable to stay for the holiday festivities. We had a late lunch at the Silvertip Grill where we got our first official "Alaska" Beer. Lunch was fantastic, I think I had a club wrap maybe? Service was good, beer was cold. Can't ask for more!

A short distance from Hotel Alyeeska is a local bar & eatery. Don't let the looks scare you away, delicious sandwiches and ice cold beer. The service is not the quickest but the food was tasty & filling.

Silvertip Grill is kind of like a biker bar. I had a halibut wrap that was very tasty. It came with a side so I asked what did the server suggest. He suggested the pasta as it had pine nuts and lots of tasty goodness. He was right it was very enjoyable. My husband had the taco salad that he... More

Silvertip Grill is a Small Red Building on Left as one enters Girdwood Town Center. For those who may not like Jack Sprat, Silvertip Grill is at the opposite end of the continuum. I like both Silvertip Grill and Jack Sprat. I like a restaurant that serves breakfast all day, and Silvertip Grill is essentially a small pub, with breakfast... More

Well as we've discovered since arriving in Girdwood, anywhere you choose to eat you're going to have to sell your first born to pay for it. I was really looking forward to dinner after reading some reviews of the grill so I looked at the menu online and ordered over the phone to carry it out. I ordered the fish... More

We were spending the night at the Alyeska hotel after 7 days on a cruise ship and 7 more ahead on land. We took the shuttle into Girdwood to do some laundry and asked the drive for a suggestion for dinner. He suggested the Silvertip. Not a fancy place ,but even the fire dept was there having dinner. We watched... More

It was one of the best meal I had in Alaska; the fish and chips was delicious and very good quality. My husband enjoyed his hamburger too. The price was really reasonable and we really enjoyed the atmosphere too.

We stop here every time we're out on an adventure! It's a little place, but we've never had to wait for a table. Even if your table is dirty, they're quick to wipe it down. Very kid friendly, the have 2 high chairs for maybe 15 tables haha. The burgers are fantastic and the portions huge! I never leave hungry!... More
