can't beat the view!

The view is everything! Take the tram from the hotel to this restaurant. That in itself is very cool. Check out the day's specials.

The food, the views and the service - all three were prefect. We had an allergy in our group and the restaurant worked with us to make sure the individual got what they wanted, without the allergen. The rock fish (fish of the day) was fresh and hot and perfectly seasoned as was the cauliflower grits (who knew). Last but... More

Seven Glaciers is a beautiful restaurant located atop the mountain at the Alyeska Ski Resort in Girdwood. The views are awesome and you can actually see seen glaciers while you dine. The service is very attentive and relaxed and you are not rushed at all during your meal. The menu is not extensive, but there is something for everyone and... More

My husband and I stayed at the hotel as a short anniversary getaway, and I made dinner reservations online several weeks in advance. While making the reservation, there was a space for "special requests." I didn't have anything in particular to request, so I wrote something along the lines of, "It's our anniversary. We do not drink alcohol." Then I... More

I give a 5 for food and incredible views. A 3 for sporadic service. The view is spectacular and the complimentary cable car to the top adds to the view. The food (not cheap, but worth it) is top notch. Great shared appetizer of the bison and shrimp tartare is excellent. Beautiful bisque. (Make sure you ask for the bread,... More

Stayed at the Alyeska Resort on our Celebrity Pre-Cruise Land Tour. I'd read about Seven Glaciers and went online one month in advance for a reservation. Mentioned we were celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary. Reservation was for 6:30 -- knowing we would get there in plenty of time and knowing the last time for the tram to return down the... The food here is a level above its closest competitor, Jack Sprat. Jack Sprat remains a viable competitor because Sprats prices are also a level lower. But everything I ate here made me feel like I was being entertained at a Disneyland Park of food, with pleasant little adventures and surprises to be found with each individual bite or sip.

I'm the type of foodie that loves the experience of fine dining and sometimes the experience trumps the actual food. With experience in mind I really enjoyed the drama of getting on a Gondola before getting to the restaurant. The views were amazing, the service was great and the ambiance is so regal and we even saw bears foraging on... More

We took the Alyeska Tram to the top of the mountain for dinner in The Seven Glaciers Restaurant. Seven Glaciers sits at 2,300 feet above sea level offering panoramic views of Turnagain Arm, the Chugach Mountain Range and seven "hanging" glaciers. We had both a cocktail in the lounge and sat at outdoor viewing area up top. This is a... More

The location and views of the hotel are excellent. The bread was great and so was the scallop bisque. We ordered the king crab legs and rockfish. Both were really good but I don't know why, I did not feel as "wowed" as I thought I would.
