We were on our way back to Anchorage from Seward and figured we'd stop to get a late lunch/early dinner. This place was pretty crowded and I usually take that as a good sign. Walking in you are greeted with a really cool atmosphere and you can either sit in a dining area or a bar area and we chose... More

Was in Alyeska for 4 nights. On last night I asked my son what he was in the mood for and without hesitation "chair 5 deep dish pizza sausage and pepperoni" Enough said!

except great food! Our ski trip to Alyeska scheduled a night of pizza and beer for 50 people during our skiing adventure in Alaska. The hosts were fantastic and gracious in handling a hungry hoard of skiers. The pizza was fantastic and well beyond my expectations and the beer selection was more than adequate.... Alaskan Amber is my favorite! If... More

I sat by myself, ordered a burger and a root beer. After the initial service, the plate was taken and a refill?.....no! I sat right next to the bar entrance, the waitress went past me over and over again. I guess they assume I am no longer of value. I have been waiting for over an hour for a refill,... More

We went on the Portage Glacier cruise. After the trip, we stopped in Girdwood for a late lunch. We decided on Chair 5. The service was good, the fish and chips were tasty and the beer was cold. Definitely a place to try.

Chair 5 doesn't look like much from the outside or even once you walk in, but the food is great! The pizzas are excellent (though very greasy), they have a good beer selection, and it's usually got a great vibe.

My sister always eats here when she drives from Anchorage. We all enjoyed delicious burgers and excellent salmon salads with friendly, attentive service. This is a nice place in summer and I can just imagine how busy it is in the winter ski season!

Despite having a very interesting and enticing burger menu, the burgers where nothing special. Average patties, kind of dried out, served with the standard condiments and Sisco buns. A real dissappointment. The soup of the day was nothing to rave about either. Service was OK. Not a bad place, just nothing to rave about. Didn't try the Pizza, but looked... More
