what you see on the outside is definitely not what you get. The steaks are amazing, service excellent and it's some of the best food I have eaten anywhere. Full of charm , laid back but fantastic. Highly recommend. Visited several times

Rough wood beams and window molding, rickety wooden chairs, local signs, photos and odds and ends on the walls, boisterous, happy skiers and locals filling every seat and above all excellent and varied food, the expected meat and fish choices but also pastas, scallops, and shrimp dishes. There are no reservations but the turnover seems quick.(We had a party of... More

If you are looking for a classic restaurant/bar with local flavor and some history, then Double Musky is for you. It has been around since 1962, or almost as long as Alaska has been a state (1959), and is filled with vintage signs/pictures, tchotchkes, flags, and furniture to make you feel right at home at this local establishment. The service... More

If you like cajun and spicy, this is the place for you. The food is terrific. But there is more on your plate than most people can eat at one sitting. And it's priced accordingly. Appetizers are all $11.00, unless noted. Entrees range from the high $20s to "market price," which is usually in the $40s. With reservations not taken,... More

The scallop stuffed mushroom appetizer is to die for. The rest of the food was fantastic and the service was great! It is a little pricey (easily $100 for 2 people with an app and a few drinks) but worth it. They don't take reservations and are almost always busy, so get there early!

I love his place! They serve the best salmon in Alaska! Service is great. The desserts are to die for! Can't go wrong with this choice. Only downer is you can't make reservations, so get there early!

We went to the Double Musky at the advice of a few people. The food was good, large portions and heavy. For the five of us we bought three entrees and one appetizer a glass of wine and one beer and our bill was $140.00 not including tip. The environment is very cool and eclectic. A definite must go to... More

After 30 years of dining at this restaurant one never tires of the serious high quality service, the consistently excellent food, the quixotic atmosphere and the value in knowing that it's hard to go wrong here. A cup of gumbo all the way to the full-meal-deal steak or seafood - it makes you warm and happy. The apps hold a... More

Since living in Anchorage we have heard a lot of the Double Musky and how amazing the food was especially the pepper steak. My husband had the pepper steak which we weren't entirely impressed with. It was a HUGE cut of meat however the gravy didn't have a ton of flavor. However, the restaurant did have a great atmosphere and... More

I just returned from my first trip to Girdwood, AK. I often listen to the local's advice regarding bars & restaurants, and this place is now in my top 10. The locals in Girdwood are truly amazing...one of a kind. Per their request, we walked through town to the small, yet extravagant Double Musky. We walked right in and were... More
