We ended up in Girdwood on our way back to Anchorage at dinnertime and had not made any plans. We were unable to get last minute reservations at any of the top rated restaurants in Girdwood and so went to Sakura. My kids ordered the Bento Boxes. They said the Sushi and Crab legs were good, but the salmon was... More

The Sakura Sushi restaurant was delicious and Chef Toby really went out of his way to make us all feel welcome. And left FULL and a bit drunk on tasty Sake and delighted to clamor back up to our rooms. Bravo!

This is a great place for a crowd to gather and the food is excellent. I had one of the Bento boxes and loved it.

Our party of 4 was told that there would be a 30 minute wait, to which they added 10 minutes each time we went up to ask so we ended up waiting for 2.5 hours. We would glance at the list and see that 6 different parties of 2 were seated before us, only because they were parties of 2... More

Was really surprised with the quality of the food and the skills of the chef. He does some pretty cool rolls and his sushi is simply perfect. Really very nice

We were surprised at how good the sushi was at this restaurant. The service was VERY slow, as it took two hours to get in and they had marked our names off the list for some inexplicable reason and then made us wait again. That being said we thought they serve a nice selection of sushi for a place located... More

It was a nice surprise to find sushi at Alyeska. We love sushi and the quality here was very good. I tried the specials a couple of nights and was pleased with them both times.

We absolutely loved this place. The best sushi we have ever had. Ryan made our rolls for us and they looked and tasted wonderful. He even made us a special roll that was not on the menu. Thanks for taking such good care of us. The seaweed calamari salad was also to die for. The rest of the staff was... More

My partner and I went to Sakura while we were staying at the Alyeska Resort over Labor Day weekend. It was a quick appetizer to supper, and they had quite good sushi. It wasn't very busy when we ate there, so we were able to sit at the bar that interact with the sushi chefs. We ordered the shrimp tempura... More
