Stunning setting in a botanical garden, friendly and welcoming hosts but expensive food

Beautiful outdoor settings, in amazing tropical gardens. Freshly picked produce to make an amazing lunch and home made drinks. Not your cheapest lunch, but possibly your best.

Found this place completely by accident while out exploring. The gardens are beautiful and the setting is lovely for a relaxed and inimate lunch. The food was delicious and so fresh. Just beautiful.

What a beautiful setting full of exquisite fauna. I had the world famous lemon meringue cheesecake and it was absolutely divine. The staff were extremely friendly. I would highly recommend a visit to this idyllic piece of paradise.

Also known as Maire Noi, this place is something different, not a simply restaurant, but a huge garden where you can take a break for a snack or a cup of tea. The atmosphere is charming, magical. The park is worth a visit itself, is held in an excellent way, it's right to leave a little contribution to the staff... More

Two years since our last visit to the garden and cafe. The food was fantastic! They use organic ingredients grown and harvested from their 7 acre garden. We had a paw paw salad and a local beer (Matutu). The cafe setting is amidst a lush tropical garden. After enjoying our lunch, we ventured into the garden. The garden is filled... More

It was 2years since my last visit to the beautiful Cook Islands and i must say the gardens have most defiantly improved. There is a $5.00 honesty box fee at the entrance of the garden but it is all well worth it, all the hard labour of love and maintenance of this magical jungle of nature. I found out on... More

So, sometimes you get what you pay for. I respect that they use organic produce at the cafe so that must be part of what keeps the prices high. We had the tropical salad and found it to be nice and filling. At first the combo seemed weird (banana, papaya, pineapple, coconut, mayo, and chicken - all combined and served... More

We came for the cheesecake, the gardens were a bonus. Such amazing setting a nice spot to enjoy a couple of hours tucked away admiring the beautiful tropical flowers. Their famous cheesecake was nice , presented well with lots of island extras, $16 you would expect it to be amazing however. Worth a visit.

A visit for lunch/dinner or the mouth watering lemon meringue cheesecake is a must. If booking for dinner, ask for the gazebo. You will be surrounded by torches & unable to see other diners - just magic - like being stranded on a deserted island. The menu is small but with outstanding flavours from the herbs grown in the quaint... More
