The fish was so oily and soggy. It was almost like it wasn't cooked properly. It all just smelt weird, I didn't end up eating it after a few bites. I have had lunch here before and it was good, maybe I just got them on a off day. Not sure if I would rush back.

Not the best fish and chips, heard they did nice lunches, but we we're disappointed, the batter on the fish was very oily

This was an excellent meal, fish and chips one of the best meals we had presented well, tasted fantastic and well worth the effort. Top marks for the flying boat. Cheap as chips too and generous servings.

We really enjoyed our burgers here and priced well. The location is spectacular and it is such a cute cafe as it is an old trawler. It is connected to the Fishing Club, which has a great happy hour every day. Worth coming for lunch or even staying on for dinner after the happy hour! It is very casual and... More

Yes - known for fish & chips, but I always get a hamburger which is wonderful! You sit at picnic benches looking at the surf and order at the beached boat. In front of a fishing club which is very friendly - especially at happy hour - and you can take a cold beer back to your picnic table. An... More

We ate regularly at the Flying Boat Fish & Chips and were always happy with our meals. We loved the taste of the gresh fish! Our boys loved hanging out at the boat and down the beach. At great location.

Visited here twice after reading such awesome reviews, both occasions they were closed. And the blackboard had all different opening hours on it. First time we went at 12noon, board said they open at 4pm, second time we went about 4:30pm board said open 11:30-2. Gave up after that.

Had dinner here tonight - the Maroro Pack at $19.50 for 4 pieces of fish, chips and a can of drink. Took a very long time to be cooked - (there were only two other people there) and when it arrived I had to query the size of the fish - two "normal" sized pieces of battered fish, and two... More

Flying Boat Fish and Chips is right on the beach, near the fishing club in Rarotonga. The fish and chips, while a bit greasy, were very tasty. The beers from the fishing club were very affordable. And the view from it all was beautiful. A fun way to hang out with the locals.

We have been going to Rarotonga for several years and have always enjoyed the food from the Flying Boat Fish and Chips. The location is nice but the food was nasty this time... Very, very greasy and the scallops were still raw.. In previous years I have rated it very good but this time very poor.. In previous years we... More
