Like most spots in Raro this is casual, friendly and on the water. Only had a beer as restaurant wasn't open -

Wow, just reading the café was destroyed by fire in November last year. I hope that everyone is ok ! I truly wish them all the best and hopefully they choose to rebuild as it is a sad loss. We were in Rarotonga staying just down the road. We were looking for somewhere to grab a coffee and came across... More

Would love to write a fantastic review, but unfortunately this property and the bakery next door we lost in a fire. Hope you will rebuild and we can support you next year

Bad news. The whole building which comprised the Turoa Bakery and Saltwater Café was totally destroyed by fire on 2 November. The Bakery, which owns the building, intends to rebuild but I don't know whether it will include the Saltwater Café. A disaster for Rarotonga and a great pity for those visitors who enjoyed visiting the café for breakfast and... More

We've passed this cafe many times on our trips to Rarotonga & finally stopped for lunch on the last day of our latest trip .... how we wish we'd stopped sooner!.... Will be top of our list for our future visits. Wonderful menu, full of variety - something for everyone & mmmmm the food - quality, authentic, full of flavour... More

Excellent service and food but not open on Friday and Saturday. Nice view of the ocean. You can get sandwiches or octopus. They make delicious thai influenced dishes.

We found this cafe one day while scootering towards the western side of the island. We called in for lunch and the selection on the menu was fantastic for such a small cafe. One thing that really impressed me was their speedy service. These ladies know how to make a place tick, and once again eating outside on the shaded... More

Great coffee, great views and excellent food. Well worth dropping into the saltwater as you cruise around the island.

This lovely little cafe is a great place for brunch and over the years has seen changes in ownership without the food or service suffering. The latest Australian owners are friendly and continue that hard-working, yet laid-back ethic that has always seen us return to the Saltwater Cafe whenever we visit Rarotonga. Thai and Mexican dishes are the specialty, and... More
