The food was extremely yummy and had the most amazing flavours. We had heard rave reviews about their famous mud crabs and were hesitant eating here as neither of us are into crabs. Instead we ordered the pork and the tuna meals and both were delicious! The service was good and the setting was lovely. Only the atmosphere was slightly... More

We were in last week for dinner. The food was not good and the service was incredibly poor. They had two large tables filled with one party. Attentions and priority was clearly given to the larger party and the other tables were neglected and delayed due to that. We made reservations to come and paid for transportation. They only have... a great little restaurant in a uquie garden setting. We were a party of 4 and all had great meals, could recommend but need a car to get there as a little out of the way.

Delicious meal. Similar price to Pacific resort but food at least twice as good. Recommend the mud crab!

we had read a review on Cafe Tupuna on the aeroplane, and it sounded great. So really excited to be going there for my partners birthday dinner. How wrong was that review. It was the worst food of our whole trip. I simply could not eat it, and my partners struggled to eat his too. The service was also bad,... More

We ate here in early April after having read about Café Tupuna in the in-flight magazine and having had it recommended by our villa. We thought the dinner was absolutely delicious (I had the fish chowder, followed by the signature tuna dish) and the garden setting was as we had imagined. Of course, there were insects, but everyone wears mossie... More

We went here twice, once to eat a la carte spontaneously and a second time after reserving a mud crab on our first visit as they were sold out for that evening. The mud crab was simply amazing. It easily serves two and was just yum. Do make a reservation for one if you plan on going here.

This was our first dinner in Aitutaki recommended by our hotel who organised our pick up and drop off ($10 each) and also made our booking for us. The setting of the restaurant was clean and the location is tucked away from main part of town. We had the garlic bread which was very tasty and salad for entree. Main... More

This was our third time having dinner at Tupuna's cafe and our overall impression is that it is a bit more hit and miss nowadays than it perhaps was a few years ago. Our food was very average and service was a bit on the slow side (even taking into account island time). Dining at Tupuna isn't cheap too, and... More

We went to Café Tupuna based on TA reviews. It was our least favourite place to eat in all the places we visited in Cook Islands. Firstly, it was difficult to find at night and wasn't convenient place to visit. There was no ocean view. One of the things that drew us to visit Aitutaki was the wonderful lagoon. Despite... More
