Amazing food and service

A huge thank you to all the staff at tapuna for making our pre wedding dinner the best night of our trip. The food was fresh, innovative and delicious, the service was fantastic. We regret not having our wedding reception here and can't wait to visit aitutaki next so that we can come back to eat.

We had a recommendation to go to Cafe Tupuna and we weren't disappointed. Lovely setting with delicious food. Not difficult to find if you have transport. Is in the middle of the island. Highly recommend a visit. Reasonable prices and very welcoming.

We were riding a scooter and by chance discovered Tupuna. We loved the staff that were extremely friendly and the food was delicious. If you go for a meal make sure to ask what desserts do they have on the day, we shared a slice of cheese cake that was to die for.

Good food in the middle of nowhere but easy to travel to .Worth the effort to get there.Natural tropical setting with raked sand floor.Adequate choice of food and drinks. Mozzie coils and repellants are all around but still watch out for the little biters . It is limited to breakfast and lunch currently. Try the yummy fresh fruit smoothies.

Delicious meals (we liked the marinated fish and fish chowder). Reasonable prices - about $10 for the marinated fish which was a complete lunch for me. Friendly staff who helped us with our pronunciation of Cook Island Maori words. Nice atmosphere with mosquito coils to keep away the inevitable mozzies that you can't avoid in a garden setting.

Lovely tinny restaurant. Small tables on the sand, at a really authentic place. Food is by far the best and more authentic we tried in Aitutaki. Not expensive (except for the crab). The crab is one of their speciallities and was tasty and very well cooked, so it was worth to pay a bit more. When we stayed it openen... More

The fun of eating out for dinner with your feet in the sand, the deputy Mayor driving the taxi for you there and back, and then the feast of a lifetime!! We had the almost unique Coconut Crab, one to share and it was incredible. As they are protected, (practically extinct in the rest of the world, too easy to... More

We popped in to taste the 'Must do' crab and glad we did. Prepare to get messy and wear much of it , the sauce it is served in is delicious and the crab can easily be shared between 2 at a price of $79 then you probably won't be having one each anyway.

Recommended to us by a local hotelier. In the middle of the island near town. Open for lunch only with a small menu. I had the prawns which were beautifully presented and tasted like heaven. Home made tropical juice really nice. Lots of mossies though - repellent a must.
