We went here for our anniversary dinner. The food was wonderful and the little restaurant with the sandy floor was well worth the Vespa ride.

Got a recommendation from our motel to go here , but we soon regretted the decision. Food was expensive , our dishes were more like lunch salads than actual meals, and quite tasteless. Service , if you can call it that , was rude and lousy. Avoid.

This restaurant has been consistently great with great food and lovely island atmosphere (enjoy the sand floor by kicking your shoes off) for every one of our visits in 2001, 2002 and 2014. A simply MUST VISIT restaurant for any trip to Aitutaki

This wasn't really what I was expecting considering it came so highly recommended. Unfortunately the bare sand floors and Mosquitos by the hundred was a bit of a turn off to me. My husband and I had to cover our glasses with our napkins to keep them bug free! The entree was good but my husbands main was undercooked, and... More

A restaurant in the Inland with beautiful fine sand as floor, we pop in last minute and managed to get a table. The service was friendly and cheerful and prompt. I had the crab which was just beautifully done : large fresh mud crab with thick gravy which is moderately spiced ( reminds me of Singapore chilli crab) and served... More

The restaurant is set in a garden and the floor is sand, so it feels as if you're almost on the beach, even though the place is quite far from the sea. The food was very nice, but also quite pricey. Furthermore, we had some issues with mosquitoes when we were there.

Delicious food! Because of the small kitchen, the service was a bit slow. Don't even think about walking or cycling there. It's located in the middle of the island!

Romantic garden setting and lovely staff, but the food was, well. A bit avetage really. Part of the problem was the menu itself which went in for creamy pastas, curries, and fish stuffed with cheese of all things. I went with the fish on mash which was pleasant enough but by no means outstanding.

Rustic setting, sand floors, tasty fresh marinated raw fish for an entree, cold beer, and probably the most memorable mud crab dish i have ever had! Definitely on the list to revisit. you need to prebook for crab though.

Tupuna's was recommended to us by the accommodation we stayed at and by a fellow traveller. Bookings are recommended. The cafe is small and intimate with a sand floor. My husband had the specialty which was a tuna dish and I had the beef with prawns. The food was excellent. We shared a garlic bread and a dessert. We had... More
