It's a must-do.

No choice about food or drink, and the drive-up is questionable. But Louise's skill in the kitchen is not. After warmly welcoming us, Louise produced platters of grilled fish, lobster, sauteed shrimp, poisson cru, and rice. Each dish was incredible --- fresh, no question, but also subtly... read more

We did Chez Louise during our stay at Le Taha'a Resort and Spa. We were the only one there and marvelled at the view of Bora Bora in the distance as we ate the only thing on he menu. Your choice of drinks: Red Wine, White Wine, or Water - Yes please. The food was so fresh and served family... More

We had way before heard of this famous restaurant, but thought it was no longer open. We stopped by on a private island tour, and our guide, Tama, talked to her to see if she might make us a lunch. She (Louise) was hanging out in a t-shirt and skirt. She quickly disabused us of the "not open" notion. So,... More

This is a great experience. First it's a fixed price 5100 pp. Second there is no menu, you eat what Louise cooks. Third the facilities are interesting, you are eating next to her house overlooking the lagoon with a view of Bora Bora. Time your visit to catch the sunset. The lobster is wonderful. There is a seasoning that makes... More

We were picked up by the owner from la Tahaa island resort at the pier and went to this restaurant .it was a fixed price of $51.pp no menu. We got sick the place was dirty ,plastic table clothes with lady bug print on all the tables . They only had 6 beers to sell so we had water.

Chez Louise is very "unique" in a good way. We had one of our best meals on our vacation here. It looks questionable on arrival, but if you enjoy a cultural experience than this is it! Tip: Let the owner know ahead of time what you would like to drink, and if you want lobster, fish, shrimp, or whatever so... More

After warmly welcoming us, Louise produced platters of grilled fish, lobster, sauteed shrimp, poisson cru, and rice. Each dish was incredible --- fresh, no question, but also subtly seasoned so that each dish had its own distinct nature. Delicieux.

Chez Louise is a must do when you stay on Le Taha'a! The food was awesome! And it is a family event, from getting picked up, to having your plates cleared by her grand children. The lobster was delicious!

Le Taha'a Island Resort where we were staying recommended Chez Louise - - unusual for me but I hadn't done any research on this and took the Hotel's recommendation in good faith but had no idea what to expect. Well my husband and I were certainly a bit taken a back when we first arrived, effectively at someone's home at... More

We were picked up in a 4 wheel drive truck by a nice lady who did not speak English and driven through VERY dark streets to Chez Louise. One of the wonderful things about staying at Le Tahaa was that they ARE happy to transport you across the lagoon anytime you want to go. ( The Four Seasons on Bora... More

Chez Louise is not fancy - wear bug spray. Louise is a super sweet lady who is very proud of food - and her flower garden (she was tickled to show us around). The driver comes in a beat up little car to get you - but never fear! She got us there and back perfectly safe. There is no... More
