We were picked up in a 4 wheel drive truck by a nice lady who did not speak English and driven through VERY dark streets to Chez Louise. One of the wonderful things about staying at Le Tahaa was that they ARE happy to transport you across the lagoon anytime you want to go. ( The Four Seasons on Bora... More

Chez Louise is not fancy - wear bug spray. Louise is a super sweet lady who is very proud of food - and her flower garden (she was tickled to show us around). The driver comes in a beat up little car to get you - but never fear! She got us there and back perfectly safe. There is no... More

I have been here once with a dear friend who tagged along with me "Aro" - the safari overland tour guide! He was sweet enough to join me as I went solo on my vacation! I never had seafood so delicious in my life, I was so hungry that I dug right in and didnt even have a chance to... More

Call ahead for a great lobster, fish and shrimp dinner served with rice in a bamboo sleeve. Very basic, no frills but oh, so good.

If you're looking for a fine dining fancy restaurant, this isn't for you. I agree with some of the reviews - yes, a bit dingy. Maybe very dingy but if you're looking for a different experience, this is pretty neat. I think the food was very good - my husband loved it! They only serve one dish an evening -... More

During our 10-day honeymoon in French Polynesia, Chez Louise was undoubtedly the best and most authentic meal we had. It's a very local and casual atmosphere, and Louise serves the most fresh and tasty island food I've had. We stayed at the Le Taha'a Private Island and Spa and we elected to boat across the water not once, but twice... More

Chez Louise certainly offers a laid back admosphere, and if you enjoy fresh seafood it can't be beat. There is no menu, it is just "seafood" - providing four different seafood dishes to enjoy. They offer two kinds of wine - red and white, and don't take credit cards. We have been there twice over the years and each time... More

Chez Louise is a great option if you are looking for some adventure and a good meal. It's pretty rustic with plastic chairs and tables and lizards and cats running around. But the food itself is pretty tasty. The lobster was delicious and the fish was excellent and fresh. The other stuff that came with the meal was okay. I... More

We wanted to try something off the tahaa resort. We were the only people there for dinner the night we went. The food was fresh and tasty - mix of fresh lobster, Mahi, shrimp, and poison cru with white rice and fresh French bread. We asked for 2 glasses of wine and were given the whole bottle - wine was... We arrived at Chez Louise's dock with out chartered sailboat. She and her brother came out to help us dock. They don't speak much english, but her daughter speaks english. We got along fine with our limited french. There is no menu, Louise fixes whatever the best catch is and serves it all in long bamboo "dishes". We had lobster,... More
