We recently returned home after a great trip to Moorea for our honeymoon. We went to La Paillote twice. Both times were great. Food in Moorea can be really expensive, so it was great to find a place that was reasonably priced. And the food was superb. Both times my husband ordered the chicken sandwich which was served on a... More

It's a good alternative to the expensive moorea restaurants. Fresh food prepared there and then. Friendly service. Roast chicken and burgers were excellent

We visited twice, first time for a take away burger and chips which was only just okay. Burger was better than the chips which seemed undercooked and limp with no salt therefore no flavour. We also visited and ate there after a morning diving and had a whole chicken between two, fries and salad. This time it was quite nice... More

Sometimes all you need is a roast chicken. Road side, friendly, cheap and good food. We ot the last piece of yummy chocolate cake.

Isn't it strange how you can spend so much on food at hotels but the meals you remember are the chicken you shared with your husband at the roadside restaurant for a few dollars? This place was so charming. We were served our chicken on plates that seem to have come from our hosts' own kitchen. The chicken was perfectly... More

This snack in Haapiti is friendly and food is OK (good for the price). But it's quite very close to the road when ordering and we saw kids running just near the road where cars are driving fast: it's kind of dangerous. And the tables are in the garden so watch out if it's raining. Anyway, it's a good snack.

This little restaurant offers dinning al fresco, with no indoor dining facilities. The presentation was very appetizing and the service efficient. Nice and friendly staff. between the road and the beach.the meal are always of good quality and the prices are reasonable.

We have been in November in Moorea and while we were looking for 'the bus stop' snack (whch btw this is no longer existing despite lonely planet keeps on listing it on the guide) , we found this place. We didn't expect much at the beginning but I have to say that the 'crevettes aux lait du coco' and 'crevettes... More

Kinda like Walmart's chicken on steroids, but at almost three times the price!  At 1300 xpf for a whole one, you get a very good sized bird that would last for at least two meals!  We ate there almost every day, because it was convenient and the chicken was good tasting!  It's only open from 10am to 12 noon (sharp),... Very handy to Camping Nelson just down the road. Try the Roti Poulet and Flan Coco. Muriel and Stefane are wonderful hosts and when my four year old daughter fell asleep at the table Muriel brought out a little mattress for our daughter to sleep on. Wonderful hospitality, great food, romantic roadside location in their little garden lit up by... More
