This place is recommended by all of the locals! We rented a car for a couple of days and decided to make it a lunch stop while touring the island. Boy are we glad we stopped, because this place was awesome!!! The setting was beautiful overlooking the water. The food was spectacular! Fresh tahitian seafood at its best and definitely... More

We loved our lunch at SM! We had a shady waterside table, where we watched stingrays "slide" past. My husband loved his shrimp and garlic dish. I had the best Mahi Mahi dish, one of many Mahi Mahi dishes, but the pepper sauce really made the dish stand out as memorable. We also enjoyed the freshly squeezed juice of the... More

Had read reviews about Snack Mahana, we stayed at IC Moorea so were within walking distance. Read about the Poisson Cru, a traditional dish. The Poisson Cru at Snack Mahana is the best!! We also enjoyed the seared ahi - very generous portions We were there every day for lunch. The ladies who run the restaurant were so nice! Reservations... More

Seriously. This was the best meal we had our entire 6 days in Moorea. I had the seared ahi plate (perfectly, rare, but seared ahi with a delicous garlic/herb butter on top and a side of rice) and my husband had the grilled garlic shrimp (grilled shrimp tossed in tons of garlic/green onion/herbs, with a side of rice). This is... More

Second time here still fantastic. Great setting by the ocean. Walked right in at 2:00. Service slow and hey it's French Polynesia. The breaded mahi mahi in coconut milk is great, the seared tuna is perfect and large - I have never had better. With beers and tip you will spend around $55. Great bargain in these parts.

On our first day on moorea, my wife and I rented a roadster and listened to everyone's advice regarding where we should eat....The Snack Mahana. We we're told we needed a reservation but we arrived right when they opened at 11 so they gave us a seat right at the water's edge. A couple glasses of wine and the tuna... More

Great spot for a casual lunch. The service was slow but given the great view it wasn't too much of a chore to wait... The breaded mahi mahi was really tasty. We felt a bit rushed to leave but it's a popular place.

We thought the food here was the best we had on Moorea! We would have eaten dinner here if it was open. Small place with tables outdoors on the sea. The mahi mahi was amazing - especially the breaded with sauce poivre vert. Very reasonably priced, service friendly (but slow, depending on how crowded it is). Relax, and enjoy the... More

They are always busy here so don't expect a super quick meal. It is about a 15 minute walk from the IC or 1000 franks in a taxi. We had the grilled Mahi Mahi and grilled tuna steak which was huge, all the meals coming out were a decent size and staff were friendly. Good choice for lunch, better than... More

Came for lunch after 2 recommendations from locals. Both had Mahi Mahi with pepper sauce. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Great location, fun atmosphere, fast service, awesome prices! We'll be back tomorrow to try something else.
