Came for lunch after 2 recommendations from locals. Both had Mahi Mahi with pepper sauce. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Great location, fun atmosphere, fast service, awesome prices! We'll be back tomorrow to try something else.

Was recommended snack mahana by our cab driver on the way to the intercontinental. It was a 15 min walk from the hotel and was well worth it. I had the seared tuna and my wife had the breaded mahi mahi in coconut sauce, both were amazing. Great atmosphere on the beach, a must go.

This is what I would call a hole in the wall except it's right on the water and the view is spectacular. The food is also awesome particularly the breaded mahi mahi my breaded in coconut milk. This is an inexpensive place for lunch only and locals and definitely better than any lunch you will have in your hotel.

We rented a scooter for the day and the rental agent told us to stop here for lunch. My husband ordered the mahi mahi with peper sauce that was delicious! I ordered the burger because I couldn't do anymore fish which was good but I had wished I ordered fish.

"This is my first time here in Moorea; what is your recommendation for a good and traditional Tahitian meal," was the quesion I asked the local taxi driver. He nailed it with this suggestion. The Mahi Mahi was excellent and the portions were pretty sufficient. Try their "special house" dressing on your salad for a taste of local herbs and... More

This local restaurant was always crowded with locals. The seafood was amazing and my husband and I ate the same thing several times as we just couldn't get enough! I had the Mahi Mahi with rice and my husband ate the tuna steak. All the family members work at the restaurant cooking and serving. It was my favorite restaurant on... More

Would probably be the best restaurant in Moorea, way ahead of the Mayflower! Went there for lunch and had a wonderful afternoon with friends whilst on holiday from nz. Not the flashiest of places but the good ones rarely are, right on the waters edge. Great service with Polynesian flare and fun. The local prawns are the signature dish which... More

While staying at the Hilton we rented a car and drove around Moorea and stopped for lunch at Snack Mahana as we had read reviews for it on Tripadvisor. Was well worth doing, location was great sitting outside under umbrellas, looking out over the lagoon. Staff were really friendly and helpful and food was great. We went for seafood and... More

First off there are not many places to eat in Moorea! So there is not a lot of comparison. But for what it is, this is a very good choice for lunch, nice garden, friendly staff and good food and service is rather quick. It is a very small place, but friendly. Food was good, but not amazing, I had... More

Restaurant is right beside the sea so it is a great location as a starter but also follows through with super fresh and tasty seafood including the local farmed prawns yum
