Possibly best meal of my life

After taking a guided shark & ray tour with Top Jet (also highly recommended) they told us that Coco D'isle was their favorite restaurant and it was a must that we eat there. They even gave us a card for a free after dinner shot of centipede rum! First, the ambiance is superb! The shack is built... read more

I wanted to give this restaurant a "good" rating but the 5-star system only goes from "average" to "very good". Great service, great prices, tasty Octopus Curry, in a wooden shack right on the sand. The authentic Polynesian dinner :-) Try it out.

This is a really neat place, it has sand as a floor. No need to get dressed up, a casual atmosphere . The Chef came and picked us up and took us to the restaurant, it was a neat experience. The menu is huge and the food was so good we loved it and very reasonably priced. You'll like it... More

Although the driver who transported us to the restaurant drove as if being chased by a herd of elephants, when we were safely at the restaurant, we enjoyed a surprisingly excellent meal. The local shrimp with curry sauce was amazing. We returned the next evening so I could try the garlic shrimp, and it was also very good. The only... More

Don't judge a book by its cover! Fun casual atmosphere, with sand on the floor. But the quality was as good as any exclusive upscale restaurant in any U.S. city we have been in. Way better than we expected. Menu selection was huge for such a small place. Catered to both local crowd and visitors. We had grilled garlic shrimp... More

This is our 4th trip to French Polynesia and our second stay at the intercontinental hotel in moorea. First I'd like to say DO NOT EAT AT THE RESTAURANTS AR THE HOTEL. NASTY FOOD. We decided to try this restaurant Coco D'isle because ratings looked good and they had a shuttle. Our experience started out TERRIBLE, and we would have... More

As I said above, by all means, get their poisson cru (Tahitian version of tuna ceviche). It was the best we had. Casual, comfortable, sand-floored restaurant with very friendly staff and free hotel pickup service. Can't really go wrong here.

This was an awesome little place with a nice atmosphere, including sand on the floor and bare footed waiters and waitresses. The food itself was absolutely fantastic, including their shrimp curry and rice. The dessert was equally amazing; profiteroles that were utterly delicious. On top of it all, the restaurant offers free shuttle pick up and drop off from local... More

What a fun restaurant with an easy going relaxed environment. Food is good too. This is my 3rd visit here, no problems. Great mahi mahi with curry sauce. Free shuttle from hotel.

Feels local. Sand on floor. Waitress are barefoot. Magi mahi was good and served on tray with big floer arrangement. Sooo much better that intercontinental hotel food which was awful.
