Our driver from the dock to the Intercontinental recommended Snack Mahana and Les Tipaniers on the beach. I'm so glad we walked here (about 20min from IC). This is located behind the hotel on the beach with a beautiful view and breeze. The poisson cru appetizer set me up for the whole trip. It was a large generous portion with... More

We rented a car to drive around Moorea. I had been to Moorea 30 years ago and have to say that Les Tipaniers did not disappoint. It was a good place in 1985 and better now. Its a lovely property (well maintained property) and we had a delicious lunch. We spent a couple hours swimming off their beach and continued... More

Title of my review says it all. If it's busy they're very understaffed. If they're not busy you may be fine.

We spent a few nights at the Intercontinental in Moorea and there was no way we would travel all the way to French Polynesia and eat at an Intercontinental. So, we spend time on Trip Advisor and put this place on our must-do list. Glad we did. We had so much wonderful food on this trip but, as far as... More

Just returned from our fourth trip to Moorea. During our 11 days, we dined at Les Tipaniers 3 times and enjoyed each experience very much. The staff was joyful, service was friendly, restaurant was attractive, and food was very good. We enjoyed Tuesdays at Les Tipaners with Ron Falconer's music.

Talk about having the worst customer service experience in Moorea! The woman with the short hair and glasses hanging around her neck had such a terrible attitude towards the customers it almost felt like she was doing us a favor by being there! We asked to be seated next to 2 other women and it become SUCH a huge ordeal... More

My wife and I had a long lunch here while looking for something to do outside of a nearby resort (Hotel Intercontinental). It was a bit of a clash coming from a high end resort to here. I have not doubt this causes people consternation. But it is what it is. Les Tipaniers is unpretentious. Think Florida Keys. They've been... More

We dined here last night. Had the escargot to start with & it was not exactly what I expected. Came out if the shell & in a cream sauce. I was not wow'd just yet. But then the entrees arrived. I had the char broiled lamb in a butter sauce & my husband had the steak with the mango chutney.... More

I went here in 2004 and stayed for 4 nights - it was wonderful and the food was very good. The little beach and the bar overlooking the sea are really something to behold. Lots of French there and odd American/other European. The little islands in the lagoon are great fun to row around and explore. The tropical fish and... More

I had never heard of this till prepping for this trip. My husband had never eaten anything raw. We had three dinners here and three times ordered the Poisson Cru. It was delicious. Fresh and so tasty. We tried both versions in coconut milk and ginger. Not sure if other people eat this as appetizer but it more than enough... More
