Ron who runs this place is entertaining and the food was very good too. He invited us back to use the beach which was very nice. The day we feasted it was raining, but we were put under tents and everything went smoothly. I enjoyed eating the local Tahitian food and Ron is quite the entertainer!

Our favorite spot on Moorea - just beautiful! You should be aware that this is Ronald's private property and he is definitely a character. He opens up the place on the weekends to serve traditional meals and sometime to have a full blown ma'a or what we would call a luau. We got to experience both and really enjoyed both... More

This is one of the best beaches on the island. Full of locals, and lots of white sand to sit around it. Great lagoon area with clear water to swim in.

The good: The flavor was out of this world (my wife doesn't necessarily agree). The setting is great, right on the beach. The bad: The worst part was the owner. I heard differing reviews about him, either you loved him or you hated him. I don't know that I would say that I hated him, but he definitely took away... More

This was one of the highlights of our trip meeting Ron Sage and his lovely wife. He found out we were Kiwis and proceeded to tell us his story which was just amazing. Our meals were to die for, we can recommend this great restaurant but be sure to visit on the weekend as he is closed during the week.... More

Though not apparently very busy, we waited about n hour and a half after advising of our menu choices. This was very frustrating as our guests had to get to the ferry for the last crossing to Papeete, so our anxiety for them spoiled the lunch. The food was very good, excessive amount as often the case in French Polynesia,... More

If it was closed, it is now certainly open again. We visited on a Sunday in late July. Be sure to have your hotel call to book ahead for the Sunday lunch, as we did - it was full when we visited, which can't be said for any other restaurant on Moorea. A good indicator is that many guests were... More

Make sure if you plan to go to the Sunday BBQ you make reservations. We some how missed the memo, and whowed up. We were not able to eat, because they were booked, yet it was need to see. We saw the men pull the food out of the big sand pit, and saw the musicians. had some drinks. Fun... More

Set up as a resort, its a little small for that. But buying food gives you access to some of the most beautiful sunsets on the island. Even though Moorea itself is a slow relaxed place. Here I felt like I was on a different island all together. Calm, serene views. Relaxed staff, great food. There were locals here, and... More

We stopped there by luck while biking around the island and the first thing we hear is the owner screaming at us because we were biking into the restaurant. But as soon as this misunderstanding was solved we were received with smiles, a joking man telling why we had the best table, a beautiful view of the ocean, feeding rays... More
