It’s almost impossible to find decent Mexican food in Costa Rica, I think this place is as close as it comes. The people complaining about the prices probably don’t realize that everything is expensive in C.R. I actually thought the prices were reasonable. The salsa’s were great and beers ice cold. I’ll be back for sure.

We visited El Fogoncito just to share a night together, it was just OK. My boyfriend ordered a lomito and the dish was extremely poor for the price it had. I decided to order an Azteca soup, nothing else since that bothered me. Although the atmosphere was great!

The food is really great. If you like mexican food you will love their dishes. The bad side are the prices. For the size of the dish you get, everything is overpriced. They should also find a way to improve the parking space because it is horrible.

The food here is great, but I feel it is overpriced for Mexican food. There are so many other restaurants that offer similar menu items at a better price, like Antojitos or Tacontento. However, they do have a really tasty Sopa Azteca.

There was nothing really bad about it, it just wasn't good enough to make me want to eat there again.

Surley service, greasy food. Steak tacos equaled three small unheated corn tortilla shells, only one of which had anything on it, a few greasy pieces of beef. The cheese topper was so stiff and overcooked, it took a knife to cut through. No side at all, not even shredded lettuce or a lemon wedge. All in all, the worst dining... More

This place could be soooo much better. The menu has not changed in 8 years, 90% of the menu is not really Mexican food, and who drinks their horchata warm? Overpriced meet, and no you dont really get churrasco, its lomito cut to look like churrasco. Im in no hurry to go back.

They just had a lot of meat dishes. I was expecting good mexican food, and it was just ok.

Honestly, the place is not pretty, but that Al Pastor is just the best I've had in CR. Regarding the menu, its pretty much the same stuff you get in every other Mexican restaurant, but their Al Pastor is definitely what puts them up there, nobody can touch them. They could use a little bit of renovating, but whenever I... More

Been to their restaurant and also tried their branches at the shopping malls. For the price you pay and the crappy food you get, it makes a zillion more sense to drive to a restaurant called Huaraches that's located in Plaza Viquez. You just can't compare them, in my opinion... the best!
