Empanadas and Sangria

We went on a Wed night and the place was packed. I highly recommend reservations. The empanadas and sangria were my favorite part of the meal. We also had a bottle of wine that was the special for the night - relatively cheap and surprisingly good, not great, but definitely drinkable.

If you want some time to enjoy your dinner you better make reservations. We did not, but there was a free table for 75 minutes. In that time the staff guarantees you that you can have dinner/dessert. Glad we took that opportunity. Delicious!

Since I arrive to Costa Rica I was trying to find an good place to eat an stake. This is exactly the place!!!. Nice service, good prices and all dishes available in a Argentina Grill. Also, Buenos Aires atmosphere adds a great value to the place. I went on a weekday and the service was quick and gentle. Recommended

The steak here is imported from Argentina, so it isn't the tough stuff you find otherwise in Costa Rica. We are and Italo-Argentine-American family, so we anxiously awaited our dinner here and left happy and satisfied. We ordered the "mini" entrana and "mini" bife de chorizo steaks. The minis were plenty satisfying for most appetites. If you like your steak... More

Food takes a little while to come out, but well worth the wait, and experiences like these shouldn't be rushed! No wonder it is booked well in advance, and by local families with something special to celebrate. If you are craving a steak, and that old-world charm, this IS the place to go in San Jose.

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel. They got reservations for us, necessary for dinner. The menu is quite extensive, but not terribly expensive. We enjoyed the fish and a vegetarian dish. For dessert we had the apple crepe with rum flambé. We enjoyed the presentation and it was a yummy ending to our meal. Our waiter was very attentive,... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants in San Jose. A wide variety of beef dishes are offered in an elegant, but casual atmosphere. The walls are decorated with artifacts and artwork from Argentina. It's a little pricey and busy in the evening. Lunch is a better option.

I am late with this review. I've wanted to think about it. A few months ago I made a reservation and we were seated at the perfect table. So I thought. Two men came to the table next to us. Their meals had be put on the "warmer" and were returned to the men. They were very, very drunk and... More

Ive lived in SanJose for more than two years. This is by far the best restaurant that ive visited. The red meat is outstanding especially because Tico red meat is not the best cuts of beef. Argentine grill with an outstanding selection of wines and liquor.

Meat and empanadas in Argentinean tradition. Beautiful dark surroundings and good reliable service. Seems like a place from another country, unique and different compared to other restaurants in San Jose
