Can't wait to visit again! Nice steaks and fantastic sangria ( made with really good red wine for sure!) our table wasn't ready the waitress said give me 5 minutes: and it was 5 minutes and not a second later! The bartender quickly made a nice drink in the meanwhile...Wauw, we're Dutch and we like that very much!!

I have been twice to La Esquina de Buenos Aires in the past 2 weeks so that should tell you something about how impressed I was. The first visit was with a client and it was quiet enough to talk business but lively enough to impress my guest. The second visit was with the girls for sangria, steak and gossip.... More

Reservations absolutely necessary, food was very good, restaurant a bit noisy, but this is in line with the ambiance, "smart" people having dinners and discussing politics, arts, etc. Service was very fast, surprisingly so, and just a great experience if you are looking for a break from the local fare.

I went there with my wife to eat lunch. I had catch of the day (no idea what it was) with carrot purée and blanched spinach. Fish was perfect, no more to say. Carrots were a little bland, spinach could use a little garlic. My wife had shrimp and palm hearts salad. That dish was simply good. Well seasoned and... More

My wife invited me to this restaurant for dinner. We had to make reservations to make sure all is well. Upon arrival, even though the place was packed, they were expecting us and gave us the table she asked for. Wine selection was great. One of the few places in town that actually know how to cook the meat. We... More

I have traveled to San Jose for many years. Each time I visit I always eat at the Buenos Aires resturant. The service is out standing, the quality of beef is one of the best I think in San Jose. I have never had a bad meal there.

The place is amazingly cosy, the servers are happy, friendly, and super efficient. Loved the ambiance! Was told it was the best in San Jose, Costa Rica, and I was not disappointed. The food was excellent! While I mainly enjoy wines, I was recommended to try their Sangria. It was the best I've ever had (in my limited Sangria experience).... More

Overall one of my favorite restaurants in San Jose. Ambience is excellent. Service is great. They take special care of all guests even when full. Oh they are always full - best to call for a reservation. Not many children there "but" if you bring them they will be accepted and the kids will have a ball drawing on the... More
