Los Anonos is a long established family-owned steak house in the nice neighborhood of Escazu. The steak cuts are good although not the best in town. But the sides on the dishes are, in my humble personal opinion, some of the best. The smashed black beans and the fried ripped platanians are definitely one of, if not THE best in... More

Practically the same style of menu 20 years ago. There are no good options for vegetarians. One day fill a tip sheet and five minutes beside me had an administering woman? justifying my suggestions. Not recommended for people of good eating.

It is one of my favorite places to eat meat, the side dishes and sauces are exceptional. They only have waitresses since they think women are more likely to take care of every detail of your food and will handle children in the best way. In Costa Rica tips are included but you'll want to tip the waitress for going... More

We went to Los Anonos our first night in Costa Rica and had a great time. The steaks were tasty and we really liked the atmosphere. I think it was the only time during the week we were in Costa Rica that we were the only tourists around. They didn't speak much English, so it was a nice opportunity to... More

More

One of the friends that we were traveling with had been there before so she wanted to take us. It was not a disappointment at all. The service was exceptional and the dining room though very large was comfortable. We had the fajitas and they were great - come hungry to this place. The menu was very diverse to please... More

Los Anonos is my favorite place on the Escazu side of town. The menu hasn't changed in 50 years. All the dishes are served with great sides of plantanos, cole slaw, and refried beans. Pricing is good for what you get and the wait staff has been there for 30 years+. Well worth a visit if you are on this... More

The food is very good. With a great variety of meat and seafood, you'll get delighted. For entrance I really recommend the ceviche and for dessert the chocolate cake with ice cream or the apple pie. It gets very full, specially on weekends, so try to get early or make a reservation by phone or internet.

If there is a landmark in Escazu where the food is always great, the ambiance is family-driven and the service magnificent, look no further than Los Anonos. Recommended are the spare ribs and the sea bass. Yum, yum!!

Ate here for the first time tonight and wow! The shrimp ceviche was fabulous! All 3 of us had steaks and they were cooked to perfection and came with several different sauces on the side to try such as a chimi churi. The mashed beans that come as a side are so yummy! The fried plantains perfect! The deserts just... More
