Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day and the ability to get both savoury and sweet combos for breakfast make it a great experience. These guys know how to do breakfast right. Delicious French toast and bacon!

This restaurant is located at the Grano de Oro Hotel. Remodeled old house with exquisite taste. It is a beautiful restaurant and the food is superb. Try de foie gras, yummy! A little expensive but worth it.

Very high on the list of restaurants to visit in San Jose this French restaurant has wonderful food and a very nice ambience. It is an old colonial house that has been converted into a restaurant/hotel. There are lots of one-way streets in the area so plan your route carefully if you aren't familiar the hotel or you might find... More

Beautiful Colonial type building on the outskirts of San Jose, just off the main artery (Paseo Colon). First class food & drinks served by professional staff. Reservations often needed as the hotel is busy with guests year round & if you visit as a pure diner you may be disappointed if you turn up unannounced. Expensive but a nice atmosphere... More

Not only was the meal up there with the best I have had, but their service was beyond anything... I went for our Aniversary, for lunch. on a Wed. I called ahead, they had a great table for us, and were incredible on the service. They gave us a on the house desert with "Happy anniversary!" written in chocolate on... More

Absolutely delightful venue. The hotel itself is recognised as one of the very best in Central America, and no surprise. We had a table for 2 in a window overlooking the beautiful courtyard. My wife went for the three crème brulees to start, and I had the scallop dish. Both fantastic. Followed by the chateaubriande for me and the chicken... More

Decor is lovely. Very elegant, dark, formal, dramatic. Service at the bar and table was incredibly slow. I think they were trying to set a mood, but a solo traveler, should be served at a quicker pace than a romantic couple or large party. Prices seemed very expensive for Costa Rica. Now the important part, ate dinner here twice (ravioli,... More

This is a beautiful place with raw silk curtains and a sophisticated french decor with an open courtyard. It is nice even when it rains in the courtyard. We enjoyed drinks at the bar, breakfast, lunch and two dinners. The service was always very good. All of the food was top notch with the quiche, chateaubriand, macademia crusted sea bass,... More

I stayed a couple nights at the hotel (which is also very nice) and had three meals at the hotel. The menu is brief and confident, which I am a fan of. The wait staff is friendly but not in a high class servant way. They are warm and ready to engage in conversation, and to offer suggestions. The food... More
