Food is good, somewhat pricey. The bartender was uninterested, didn't do any effort to be polite when serving drinks at the bar. Service in the restaurant is attentive, but the friendliness of some waiters is fake.

We were already booked at the Hotel Grano de Oro and decided to try lunch soon after our arrival. The service and food was excellent with a very nice variety of choices including soups, sandwiches and traditional cuisine. I had previously booked a dinner reservation via an online correspondence (subsequent to my room reservation) and, because there were 9 of... More

Lovely restaurant with outstanding, largely continental menu. Service discrete but attentive. Excellent wine list, cocktails, and Tico microbrews. Excellent fresh fish. Pricey, but worth it, especially if you become bored with the wholesome, but monotonous Tico standards. Breakfast is also excellent here, with the Eggs Benedict and the continental with fresh brioche as standouts. If it's nice out, both breakfast... More

We specifically stayed at the Hotel Grano de Oro to experience this restaurant. We have traveled to so many countries and, honestly this restaurant is one of the very best ever. The setting is lovely either for dinner or breakfast (we did both). The food was perfect, presentation beautiful and service attentive. A destination restaurant for sure!

Very well maintained museum with just the right amount of detail on exhibits. It explains Costa Rica from 2000 BC to 500 AD. With free open WiFi at reception I download their (low priced) app, which includes audio on many of the exhibits.

The restaurant itself is in a beautiful hotel, very elegant and classic. The food and the service are great. Waiters are always paying close attention but without making it uncomfortable. Menu is very good, not very large but still has a good variety of dishes. Very nice place for dinner in San José, very centric. It´s on the pricey side... More

After reading reviews from Tripadvisor, we decided to have our last dinner in Costa Rica here. The decor is very nice and the service is excellent. A waiter was ready to take our order as soon as we closed the menu. The food was creative and delicious. I started with a vanilla salmon whereas my date had a palm fruit... More
