Not disappointed

We were coming back through San Jose to catch a flight out the next morning. I found this restaurant on here and we took a cab over to try it out. First, I'll say that our entire food experience in Costa Rica was very Frenchesque in that most of the meals we experienced were amazing. This place... read more

this is the first time ever I do this, but honestly I don't see how I can't!!! As I am writing those lines we are seating at the bar being VERY rudely attended by our dear barman Manuel, waiting for our dining reservation hoping that diner will be up to a friend recommendation. Not only does he barely attend us... More

Have stayed and eaten there several times since 1996- when it was just a small place. Sadly, it is no longer within my budget to stay there but I love their 5-star restaurant for special occasions! It is fabulous!

$100 for my husband and I including a bottle of wine, 1 appetizer and 2 entrees. We split a pasta appetizer and they brought it out on 2 plates. Portion was generous enough for us to share. For dinner, I had the snook which I highly recommend. Delicious fish that's harder to catch so you don't see it on a... More

We stayed at this hotel and had our final vacation dinner here. It really was spectacular! We shared a rustic pate and a hearts of palm salad for starters. My husband had a perfectly cooked pork tenderloin and I had corvina (sea bass) cooked to perfection. Dessert was a piece of coffee cream pie with a chocolate crust. The restaurant... More

We have had several meals here during our stay in the hotel. It is quite convenient so after a long day of touring it is tempting to just eat in. The meals have been quite good and we like the choices of seating, either open air or not. Our only complaint is the somewhat erratic service, and this is probably... More

The food at this restaurant is always well prepared and served with care. We look forward to returning to this restaurant and hotel on our next visit to CR. They also have a children's menu.

The restaurant was lovely inside, and also had an open-air seating area. The food was good, and the service was very good. It was not too expensive. I would say the decor and woodwork were more impressive to me than the food. But overall it was a nice place for lunch.
