Our dishes are inspired from Asian countries: China, Japan, India, Indonesia, Thailand. We have an extensive vegetarian and vegan menu as well as a gluten free menu. Our Asian themed rooms gather together all the art work we have collected as well as those created by closed friends and frequent diners. Tin Jo is our third child and we are very involved owners. We were searching on foot for this restaurant and it was a bit hard to find. The locals kept telling us down 3 blocks, around the corner, etc... a spanish speaking man called it the "best". We actually sat down in another Chinese restaurant and then realized it couldn't be the same restaurant that we had read about on trip... More

Tin Jo has a bit of everything. It focuses on Asian cuisine so you can try Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnam, etc. It has a long tradition (opened in 1972) but you can find new dishes in the menu pretty often. You can eat with $20-30 per person but the value is much higher. Maybe the only con I can think... More

The menu offers Asian fare from Thai to Indian and in between. I have a hard time deciding. The Hot and Sour soup is great but if you like it spicy they never seem to get it quite hot enough(I asked for 5 on the scale). The Asian salad is great but the curries are all good too. I had... More

This is a special occasion restaurant, as it is quite expensive - but I recently went there twice in 3 days while in San Jose & everything we ordered (in one case w/ 4 others) was to die for. Do not fail to order the ginger ice tea - no words to describe, unlike any ice tea I've ever had... More

Delicious food and very pleasant decoration and atmosphere. I loved the different rooms in the restaurant with all different themes of deco.

How could this restaurant be rated as 6th best when it was absolutely amazing!! Me & my husband are vegetarians and it makes it hard to find nice food for us. We happened to stumble across this restaurant in failed search of 2 other Indian restaurants that we had printed address out from on google. Just up the road from... More

Went there for dinner with a friend in April. I had Kung Pao Chicken and he had an order of their Fried Rice with shrimp. The food was well prepared and the service was very good. My only knock on the place was that it was expensive for the amount and quality. However, if you are tired of the local... More

friends and I went to this highly rated restaurant for lunch. While the food was good, there were some problems. I ordered 'hot and sour'; soup, with a hotness of 4 out of 5. The flavor was good but there was NO kick to it. I also ordered another appetizer - the fried vegetarian spring rolls (can't remember the exact... More

Loved it. Got the Murg Masala and a heineken and it was like a deconstructed tikka masala- So GOOD! They also give you a little plate of complementary crispy wonton chip things and sweet and sour sauce for dipping. It was a little overpriced ($4 for a Costa Rican beer when it should be $2 or $3) but you pay... More

Ordered the Curry Res Masanana, picante. When it arrived, it had no spice what's so ever. I called the manager to change it and he tells me, "it is almost done". I laughed and said I took 2 bites just to taste the spice. I gave it back to him and said I would like a new one with picante.... More
