Fast and reasonable

Chinese food is not my first choice by a long shot when I travel, but it was a hot day and near my hotel. Nice and cool inside, excellent waitstaff, and fast service. I had Sechuan tofu & vegetables that was quite good, and I was pleased to get enough to take home for dinner.

No wonder why they closed in the afternoon...they can afford it!The place was packed mostly by locals, which is the best sign. Excellent and abundant food at reasonable prices, and fast service. You cannot ask for more.

The front of the restaurant is always full of expensive fancy cars, It confirms that rich people are not always klever on where they spend their money and show off their fancy cars. We go there to celebrate birthday because it is in front of our job, and because there is a waiter that always give us a nice blessing.... More

Was not our best eating experience while in San Jose. The menu is extensive with a lot of choices. The dishes we had were so-so, not great but not horrible. The server we had could speak some English but was not very helpful, even tried to extort a larger tip for our party when the 10% Service fee was too... More

At first sight from outside you won't pay a cent for it, but gojng inside the ambience and decoration is a traditional but modern Chinese restaurant, red and white. The food is great, the menu is very colorful in dishes terms, they have a lot, so is difficult to decide. I tried the egg rolls 4 units is a lot... More

We ate here several times and service was good, and food was good. Some things different than what we are used to, but they had own unique flavors.

Flor de Loto has easily become the best oriental restaurant in the great metropolitan aerea of San Jose. Its great food, its oustanding service with exceptionally corteous waiters and its great location are just unsurpassed by any other oriental restaurant in town. As commented by other reviewers the place gets very crowded at lunch time, so is best to arrive... More

Flor de Loto is considered as the best Chinese Restaurant in San Jose by many of us locals. It is also famous for being the place where former president and Nobel Peace Price winner Oscar Arias, went for lunch on Sundays. It is usually crowded at lunch so you should make a reservation or wait at least 15 minutes to... More

The food is great and plentiful and the service is good (the waiters we had spoke enough English so that we were able to communicate with each other). One of the odd characteristics, to a North American, is that they serve bread and butter. The cuisine is mainly Chinese! As mentioned, the servings are plentiful and therefore more than we... More

It was our first meal in Costa Rica, a country we didn't know. We expected Asian prices and were shocked to find out that two simple dishes with meat and rice came down to 30$. Wow. It was good food, large portions, but we think that it was too pricey.
