Pops - Your destination on a warm day.

Pops is a Costa Rican hard ice cream shop offering a multitude of flavors. It is a favorite of many locals and tastes great on a warm day. Try the Dulce de Leche dipped in chocolate and covered with peanuts. It's a personal favorite.

Ice cream is a little pricy but worth it. The coconut ice cream is sinfully good, as well as their chocolate mint.

If you ever tried an Italian icecream, this is really NOT your place : icecreams that are not creamy and very superficial. I tried 2 flavours: chocolate and strawberry, both terrible. I will never return!

POPS is way more than an ice cream parlor, it is the most visited place in the country. You can't be a Costa Rican if you haven't been to Pops. This is a traditional family special for Sundays. Couples normally have their first date here and there's no age limit. Pops is part of each family in this country and... More

Ice cream in Costa Rica specially at Pops, has a very different texture. Their shakes are good though. There is also another specialty drink called something like cocos that was delicious and refreshing.

I love ice cream. I have been disappointed in most of the ice cream in San Jose. POPS offers the best ice cream I tasted so far.

Good beans , great coffee machine , fresh ground beans , mmmmmmmmm . They often have desserts for 1/2 price , great to take back to your room ! National chain with ice cream , sandwiches , smoothies , etc. , but for myself the best cup of coffee I found .

I loved the ice cream here. I would always get the pina colada shake with pineapple and coconut, and I've been craving it ever since I left! I also tried the mulberry parfait, but I definitely liked the colada better

I was in Pops shops in Jaco and San Jose. The flavour selection was the same. This ice cream is not the best I had (sorbets were so-so), but you can find some nice flavours you probably won't get in Europe - like Dulce de Leche, or Leche Condensado con Higos. Chocolates were pretty good.

Visited here with some friends and got a cookies and cream milk shake. It was outrageously good. We stopped back several more times during the trip because we loved it so much. Highly recommend to fellow travelers.
