The ice cream is ok, it is nothing special and a bit pricey. The service is a bit slow as well. We tried it various times while living in Costa Rica and preferred eating grocery store ice cream over it.

I've been going to Pops since I can remember, middle and high school, college and now. The service is great and the ice screams are really good. The nieves are very refreshing and come in a big variety. It's a flavor that takes you back in time! Big variety and all are good, especially the cookie, blackberry nieve and the... More

My kids are 3 & 6 and love ice cream. Pops is good and there is one on many corners of the city. They will let you dip the cones into a hard chocolate shell. The kids LOVE that. Lots of fun.

Natural flavors and whole milk make great ice cream.Try the mango, coffee, coconut flavors. Locations everywhere and fairly priced products.

It was our second time visiting and this time we had out of town guests with us, terrible service when there are a handful of employees behind the counter yet only one of them Is taking orders. You have to know what flavor you want when you order because if you don't the clerk gets upset at you and rushes... More

I can't compare them to other ice cream stores in Costa Rica, I didn't find any others. We went to the store in Ciudad Colon and were amazed to watch the clerk weigh everyone's portion on a scale! And if that was not bad enough, the clerk had to remove a little amount from each cup she scooped because it... More

I tried POPS once and will not return, What the chain has mastered is ice cream textures. What is needs to work on if I am to return one day: - flavours - e.g. how hard can it be to work with lemons rather than artificial lemon flavouring? - service - quite often there will be a pile of people... I usually review only hotels, but Pops deserves any attention that it can get. I also rarely give 5 stars, and it's likely that I would not give Pops the full 5 if were in another part of the world. However, in Costa Rica and the other Central American countries where Pops has opened its stores, it blows away the... More

For costa rica standards it is good solid ice cream. If you are looking for gelato/Italian standards... go to Roma!!!!!!!!!!!!
