Pops - Your destination on a warm day.

Pops is a Costa Rican hard ice cream shop offering a multitude of flavors. It is a favorite of many locals and tastes great on a warm day. Try the Dulce de Leche dipped in chocolate and covered with peanuts. It's a personal favorite.

And it is awesome. Guanabana and chocolate hard shell is a must. Try it! I used to save my money to buy a cone on my way home from school. It was worth it back then and it still is.

They served all the Costa Ricans around us before they served us, maybe they were worried about speaking english as the women looked very shocked when I ordered completely in Spanish.... However, even with that said when we got the ice cream all 3 flavors tasted like we could taste the ice like they had freezer burn.... none of us... More

If you've ever liked Ben and Jerry's then meet their Costa Rican contestant. POPS is a company who's has been growing tremendously for the past 15 years. Their incredible variety of flavors, the quality of their ice creams and the locations make up for a great time to visit. Their only problem is their staff as some Costa Ricans are... More

Ice cream is a little pricy but worth it. The coconut ice cream is sinfully good, as well as their chocolate mint.

If you ever tried an Italian icecream, this is really NOT your place : icecreams that are not creamy and very superficial. I tried 2 flavours: chocolate and strawberry, both terrible. I will never return!

Ice cream in Costa Rica specially at Pops, has a very different texture. Their shakes are good though. There is also another specialty drink called something like cocos that was delicious and refreshing.
