dulce de leche.

I went to several different locations of POPS in Costa Rica. All of them had superb quality of ice cream. I LOVED the dulce de leche with the brownderby (basically ice cream covered with a hard chocolate shell). The only reason they got a 4 out of 5 is because even though the workers were very... read more

I loved the ice cream here. I would always get the pina colada shake with pineapple and coconut, and I've been craving it ever since I left! I also tried the mulberry parfait, but I definitely liked the colada better

I was in Pops shops in Jaco and San Jose. The flavour selection was the same. This ice cream is not the best I had (sorbets were so-so), but you can find some nice flavours you probably won't get in Europe - like Dulce de Leche, or Leche Condensado con Higos. Chocolates were pretty good.

Visited here with some friends and got a cookies and cream milk shake. It was outrageously good. We stopped back several more times during the trip because we loved it so much. Highly recommend to fellow travelers.

On a recent visit to Costa Rica we had ice cream at Pops in La Fortune (twice) and Punta Leona. Delicious each time, with excellent service. La Fortuna accepted dollars but Punta Leona only accepted Colonas.

Because of the presentation you expect real Italian icecream. But it's not. The taste is a little bit fague.

POPS has a wide selection of moderately priced ice creams and frozen yogurt. The prices will not "break the bank," and the selections are quite tempting in this delightful climate.

Pops is a professionally run ice cream parlor. Their stores are kept clean and they're run with customer service in mind. Young friendly employees and a family atmosphere make it a nice place to go on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

Basic ice cream. No more no less. Basic tastes and service. In our happy days of Italian and specialty ice cream everywhere Pops remains a place for kids to sit in the evening. To stop with kids on the way. It is harder to find specialty ice cream in Costa Rica but with a little effort you can nowadays. So... More
