in a nice eclectic place which mix art from Asia (for sale), Richard and Louise are going to impress you. Let them choose for you and enjoy Richard's show

Richard is a 2 Michelin stars winner and his food really stands out. I am a frequent guest at this amazing restaurant. The menu is all in small portions, so you can order 3 - 4 per person and enjoy lots of different flavours. The house were the restaurant is serves also as an antique - exotic furniture store. At... I have been to many upscale restaurants around the world, and nothing comes close to my experience at the Park Café. Arriving at the restaurant, Michelin star chef Richard Neat met us at the door and introduced us to his wife. I felt as if we were close friends and he was welcoming us into his home. I am a... More

The food and the presentation are exquisite, worthy of a Michelin Star[or 2]. The setting in an unmarked hidden home/antique shop on a dark sidestreet in San Jose is a treat to even find. There is not a sign nor a numerical address on display. Get exact directions and print them out as your taxi driver won't have a clue.... More

It is a very quaint least to say place, a secret , yes, word of mouth only advertising, personable hostess /owner Louise and her French chef partner , a treat to the senses , I wouldn't call it a meal in the traditional sense but an extraordinary epicurean experience . Quite pricey, but then one is paying for the experience... More

I have lived here 10 years and this so far is the best. Imagine a restaurant situated in amongst beautiful art pieces from Thailand & Indonesia. Food was exquisite as was the service. Wanna impress someone? This is the place.

Our friend told us about this restaurant and took us there to dinner last night. The decor is really fabulous in that it is all unique antique pieces (for sale) and tho the seating is limited it is by no means crowded. The music and candle lit ambiance was really nice. The food was exquisite. Every bite a delight. We... More

This is definitely the most deserved 5-points rating for a restaurant, probably not only in the San José context. The restaurant is sharing its town hacienda style premise with an antiques shop (mainly interior design items from Asia ...) close to central town, next to the Sabana Parque. The altogether 20 places offered by 5 tables only, are placed under... More

Park Cafe is truly a hidden gem! There are no signs and we would not have found it if not for trip advisor. It's located in a cute antique shop owned by his partner, Louisa. His restaurant alone made me reconsider returning to San Jose. The owner/chef Richard Neat is a true artist. The menu is set up as small... More

There seems to be a general trend of improving cuisine in Costa Rica that we've noticed on our 4th trip to this country. The Park Cafe was the best among the best, delivering everything we'd been led to expect of this restaurant based on past reviews -- and more. The tapas we sampled were creative and eclectic. it was a... More
