Great Steak Tartar and Moules like in Belgium in SJO

I just had lunch today with my staff to get 2016 going and the food was excellent, Alberto our waiter gave us an excellent wine recommendation for a Malbec which was great. The food menu has been expanded although I still like the classics which compete with one's I sometimes have in Brussels.

This happened to me too, the first thing we need to learn is to build trust with the costumers, the French wine was $5 to $7 per cup while the Champagne was charged at $22 per cup. The main menu did not include that Champagne, when I asked for the menu there were a second paper brought to me with... More

Upon ordering champagne at the bar of this restaurant, we were provided glasses that were only one-third full, as the bartender poured what little was in the bottle in front of us, depleting it. Without advance warning, we were charged $22 for each glass. When we argued it, the bartender pointed to the amount in a menu, which of course... More

I didn't like the Crêpe Suzette, but I would recommend the Poisson Meunière which was really good at this french restaurant.

Fabulous location, phenomenal service, delicious menu that won't break the bank. Everything about this place reeked of class from the dining venue down to the toilette. FANTASTIC is not a strong enough adjective to describe this excellent establishment.

This is a French restaurant in Costa Rica... It's exactly what it sounds like. It's a nice atmosphere for certain but I have a couple of bones to pick with this place. I am a huge foodie and also a Chef. So when I go places, I expect them to follow their theme. They have some french dishes but I... More

This restaurant is a good French restaurant, which a varied menu, good service and good wines. Located in Avenida Escazu, a very exclusive shopping center in Escazu, in the outskirts of San Jose, it has a nice atmosphere and it is specially nice for brunch on Sunday. The fare in light for lunch and more formal for dinner.

Some food was quite good. Moules, french onion soup. Chateau Briand. Les frites Some was not quite there. The salad paysanne should have dressing on the side so the lettuce won't swim away. The bearnaise sauce for the beef was served cold which was a new concept to us. When we asked that it be warm, the maitre d' took... More

We had been at CIMA and walked over to Avenida Escazu to see what we could find. The entire street is a foodie's delight. We did not expect to find first-rate French food. The food, the wine suggestion and the service were all very good.
