Bad service to begin with. Several item I tried to order they did not have "today". Finally got a partial meal minus a few components.

I had dinner at the Muse Restaurant in the Hotel Beacon Escazu along with a group of business colleagues. The menu is not extensive and we were disappointed to see a dearth of native dishes. For example, almost everything came with mashed potatoes instead of the rice and beans that is a staple of the Costa Rican diet. My fired... More

Breakfast was wonderful. For dinner I had the snapper and my nephew had the pork chops. I wish I could have held it all....lot of food and the best meal I've had in Costa Rica!

The one dinner we had at the restaurant was not good. A hair was found in my wife's seafood dinner. The service was lacking attention. Waiter did not visit to see if we needed anything. A gratuity is added regardless of the quality of service. Not good.

A bit over priced, and we were the only ones in the restaurant the night we stayed there. But the food was very good.

...as the place was pretty much empty the two times we ate there this past month while travelling from one side of Costa Rica to the other but...we found the food to be very good and felt prices were in line. We learned they have a new chef so perhaps it will be a while before word gets out that... More

In our 3 weeks in Costa Rica we ate in many fine resturants but this was definetly one of the best. The room is beautiful and elegant without being pretentious. Our waiter was great making some helpful recomendations on both the food and wine but was never intrusive. We had a wonderful evening at a very resonable price.

If you stay at the Beacon you must eat here at least once. We've always had an excellent meal.

My husband and I decided to celebrate our anniversary with dinner at The Muse. Our decision was based on the high ratings given it on Trip Advisor and other websites. We were immediately seated when we arrived and placed our orders, including a bottle of wine. After several minutes, our waiter came to inform us they were out of that... More

We had reservations for 8:00 this evening, and they weren't able to find them, yet only perhpas six tables in the whole place were being used. We still waited and waited and waited for our table. After getting a table, it took too long to get menus. I ordered steak and wine. My wife's steak was ordered medium well, but... More
