With the heat appetites goes down and health goes up. For a very reasonable price this place offers a cassado (rice, veggies, fish or meat) that is enough for two adults. The food is tasty and the service very pleasant in a clean location .

We were served by an adorable young man who was the only one serving (he looked about 12) but he was very proficient! The food was delicious, and not too expensive. I ate fish, and I typucally don't like fish - but I ate it all! Definitely recommend.

My boyfriend and I had a few dishes at this soda which were priced on par with the other sodas in the areas (2500 colones for a casado). We got a fish casado and the fish was delicious. The chicken burrito however was not what we expected. It was similar to a fat quesadilla with just cheese and a bit... More

We ate there twice and were highly satisfied both times. One of few places open on a Sunday evening.

Jorge our guide eats his lunch here and he brought us along. Thanks Jorge. Tiny place, not fancy but good food. Mostly locals when we were there. Highly recommend the fish Casado plate. The beer is cold and the people are nice. Another of our guides said that she could eat here every day. We now understand why. Highly recommended.

We both had the Casado - one chicken and one fish. Both were great but I would definitely have the pescado next time. Prices are great too!

Stumbled upon Soda Sanchez while checking out Quepos and had a great breakfast of Pinto Gallo with eggs and platanos maduros. The coffee was good, not great, but hit the spot.

We visited Soda Sanchez on our last night in Quepos...largely on the recommendation of Trip Advisor reviews. We thought the food was adequate, but nothing to crow about. Service was incredibly slow...nobody greeted us as we arrived, we finally squeezed into a spare table, and it took a while for the one waitress to bring menus and take our orders.... More

Soda Sanchez was recommended by a tour guide as a good place for local food. We enjoyed the casado plates (beans, rice, choice of meat, small salad/garnish) and fruit drinks. Servings are large and prices quite reasonable. It is a small place, very basic, no frills. On the way there, our taxi driver also suggested trying Delicias Tiquicia which also... More
