After doing quite a bit of traveling through CR I must say that Quepos has been my least favorite area for food. With that said, I was pleased with soda sanchez for what it was. Cheap, good portions, kind service and decent food. Two casados, one chicken, one beef and two sodas cost $14. Not too shabby considering I paid... More

While of course there's plenty of tourists in the area and they do have a menu translated to english, it felt really authentic and local style. The dishes are really cheap and its a small cozy room where they are happy to chat with you (in spanish though).

Food was good, served quickly, and very reasonably priced. You can sit outside and people watch which is always fun in Quepos. Great value!

We stumbled upon Soda Sanchez. It was our first day in Quepos, getting groceries, finding the bank etc. We were starving and the server was very helpful during ordering. You can have either breakfast or lunch/dinner. Such flavorful casadas and good variety of local food. Watch the daily life on the sidewalks of Quepos from Soda Sanchez. Taxi drivers, ambulance... My girlfriend got the plate of the day, which was chicken fajitas, and I got the bistek. Both of our meals were excellent. The place is small, they have wifi, and the service is awesome. If you're in quepos, you should eat here!

I was so sick of overcooked chicken and super dry rice and beans. Ran into some fellow travelers and they told us about Soda Sanchez. Well the next day we go into downtown Quepos and totally don't remember where they said it was but as luck would have it we turned a corner and there was the sign!! Best casado... More

This was great place for local food. Service was friendly and hospitable. Did not seem like a place for pasta but one of the kids did not feel like local food and had great pasta.

Went here twice for lunch for "casado" with fish. YUMMY!!!! This is a great local place that isn't fancy by any stretch but it's clean with excellent food! Oh and it's quite cheap compared to other places around Quepos. Don't miss this place!

So I will tell you we had yet to find a restaurant that had really good local food. Then we stumbled upon Soda Sanchez and it all changed. the first night we were there we had there local dish with grilled chicken and the kids had quesadillas and we were satisfied. Then over the next few nights we thought we... More
