Rancho Leon was recommended to us by our guide in Manuel Antonio, as we wanted a more authentic Costa Rican dinner for our last night. The restaurant is a little bit off the beaten path outside of Quepos, but all the cab drivers know where it is. The restaurant is a simple open-air space, which also allows for some intrusion... This place was recommended to us, and I'm glad we choose to take the suggestion! We were the only people at the restaurant, which was weird, but chalked out up to being a Tuesday night. We started with the fried green plantains with a bean dip. It came out with 5 patties that were about 3-4 inches on diameter. The... More

Rancho Leon boasts a variety of menu options. We ate here for breakfast and dinner and all meals were tasty! The pork sandwich topped with coleslaw was amazing. The service was fast, friendly and attentive.

We were recommended to go here from Mark with Mar1 Sport Fishing and what a place, the food was amazing and the Service was off the charts. It was a little pricey compared to some of the other Local spots but worth every colony

We were staying outside Quepos and didn't feel like going into town for dinner (it's crazy there!) so we went with a hotel recommendation and visited Rancho Leon. It was just a mile away and looked ok from the road. We went in and were pleasantly greeted by Mauricio? He was genuinely attentive and able to explain to us what... More

We stopped here for lunch and had the typical Casada dishes - rice, beans, plantains, peppers, and grilled chicken pieces, which were delicious. And very reasonably priced. Service was a bit slow, mainly because it was a busy place.
