Authentic Italian meats and cheeses, Great Prosciutto TOO. Pasta dishes are also great. A little pricey but that is because of the quality of the ingredients. You definitively get what you pay for

I've eaten here several times. The pasta and lasagna are excellent. The sandwiches are good too. They use fresh ingredients, and it's nice to have a bit of authentic Italian food in Quepos. However, the service has slowly gotten worse and worse. The owner is also the chef, and at times he will be the chef, host, waiter and cashier,... More

When we walked through the door we greeted the cook (the owner I believe) but recieved a dull response and a look that reflected he wasn't exactly excited to see us. We thought he was maybe having a bad day... As we were the only people in the restaurant (aside from a lady he was speaking to at the front... More

This is basically a one-man operation in the center of Quepos. The place is not fancy...I watched a couple folks turn away when they opened the door. Big mistake! As an Italian, I'm somewhat picky about Italian food. This guy nails it...I had the seafood pasta which was outstanding due to the freshness of the shellfish and the excellent preparation.... More

My wife and I had a dish that was shrimp over pasta, the service was very good. Some English was understood but brush up on your Spanish. They worked very hard to make us feel welcome

As said, below, this restaurant is now Chelo. We went on a Monday night and the restaurant was full. We had high hopes since the waiters from other restaurants we had eaten at, were eating at Chelo. However, the pizza had very little cheese, had little taste and was over priced. It took a long time to be served and... More

My wife and I (from the Boston area in the US) were walking around Quepos to do a little shopping. Someone at our hotel had recommended this place to us. When we walked in, the owner/cook behind the counter didn't exactly look pleased to see us come in. But maybe that's the thing here, who knows. Place is small and... More

It should be noted that this restaurant has changed its name. It is now called "Chelo." The food was excellent. We ordered a couple of pizzas and they were both some of the best pizzas we have eaten. There was only one waitress, and every seat was full, so dinner was a long process, but it was really good food.... More

My family of 4 (2 children) ate there while on vacation to Montezuma. The food was excellent!!! No issues with the service. But an FYI...they changed their name to Chelo. That threw us off a little when we were trying to locate it. The fish bruschetta was phenomenal...a must try.

Very small restaurant, the owner runs it fully on his own. Therefor it takes some time to be served. However the food is so excellent, worth waiting for this freshness. Loved it.
