The place looked nice inside. I ordered a drink and a meal came to 5300C then a service charge 530C then a tax 689C total 6519C. I did not know nor was I told about the extra costs but buyer beware. The meal was so little that after I needed to go else where and order some food and I... More

We stumbled across Dos Locos after our trip to the farmers market on Friday night. Had excellent food and service. The shrimp and rice was delicious (my 7 year old came over and started eating it off my plate- it was that good). We also enjoyed the vegetarian burrito, fish tacos, and chicken tacos. The price was great. We had... More

I ate two meals. The cook and server were both Costa Rican and the menu even had traditional Costa Rican meals (along with the Mexican choices). The food was average at best, the service was marginal, and the prices overpriced as the other reviews also state. If you truly want Mexican food, wait until you are someplace other than Quepos... What an interesting bar on a corner in Quepos! I loved the open air atmosphere. Along with drinks and great music, the waitresses were friendly and the many ex-pats were obviously the regulars there. Everyone was welcoming and interested in one another. I felt quite at home though I was far from home.

We loved dropping by for a cold drink, friendly conversation, and great music. Really enjoyed hearing BenJammin and the Howlers. Received advice from the ex-pats on where to eat and what to do in the area. Very helpful.

My family and I were buying souvenirs in Quepos and decided to try Dos Locos. I truly regret the experience. The restaurant is centrally located in Quepos and if you like people watching while hanging out with fellow Americans, this place is great. Seems like a nice place to have a drink and hangout. However, the food was mediocre at... More

Oh yes!!! We stopped here because it looked cool, open air with live music on a Saturday afternoon. It was across the street and down a bit from the bus station so we popped in. Clean, good service but waaaay to expensive for what you get. Keep walking.

We decided to have lunch at Dos Locos in Quepos today. 1 order of chips, 2 beers, comida tipico (typical CR food) and today's fish special plate which was not super fresh. Total: $34.67US. For two people. It was ok but don't go out of your way unless you need an expat to talk with as they seem to gather... More

This was an average experience. It is on a very busy corner of Quepos, which can be either good or bad depending on your mood. The food was good and the service was pretty good as well.

While doing a shopping, sightseeing walk through Quepos, we found this oasis among the hot streets. Good, cold cervezas and very good food. Not being really hungry, my wife and I shared a nacho order. It was well made and very filling. As others have pointed out, the people watching here was most enjoyable.Give Dos Locos a try when you... More
