guacamole awesome

This is a little four table place on the edge of the downtown. The young lady serving us ( I would assume a family member) was very nice. We had a nice casado with fish. The highpoint was the guacamole. It was the best I ever had. It came with fried plantain chips that were also great.

When you are looking for local seafood in Quepos and the Manuel Antonio area, this is the place to go. The prices are very reasonable, and the couple that runs the place are very friendly. I really liked the seafood soup and the seafood with rice. I will continue going to this local restaurant. I have not found any other... More

On first glance, this place doesn't even really look like a restaurant, and it's on a pretty deserted street, but looks can be deceiving. We had great, generously sized meals in delicious sauces, with accompaniments of our choice. I recommend 'coco loco' - king prawns breaded with coconut. We have been to several towns in Costa Rica over the last... More

Just went to la Cubanita in Quepos with my large family with teens and young kids. They welcomed the 9 of us with attentive service. We had a variety of casados, fajitas, and shrimp and chips. All food is prepared fresh, so don't expect a 10 minute meal. The owner and his wife showed up to help the nice señorita... More

Jonathan knows everything there is to know about Quepos. He is your go to guy for questions. He makes a great breakfast, which is what we mostly ate there. Everything we ate was wonderful. All meals are made from scratch, including the Eggs Benedict. If the three stools in the front are filled, there is a room in the back.... More

This is my second time at La Cubanita. I'd heard from several locals that it was very good. I went with my husband and another couple and we all ordered the Eggs Benedict, which was delicious and prepared fresh. The Hollandaise Sauce had just the right degree of lemony flavor with a slight spicy kick to it. All four of... More

This little hole in the wall gave us so much false hope when we saw the good reviews because we thought we were going to get a good priced, less touristic dinner in the Manuel Antonio area. However, we very quickly realized that a good meal was far from what we'd get. The only reason that the appetizer had any... More

La Cubanita is by no means a fancy restaurant. It is a homely, inviting place that serves large portions at an affordable price. We ordered plates full of fresh fish and chicken with veggies that were made right on the spot! The food had a nice tasty flavor to it and we were given so much we had leftovers to... More

We were pointed to this restaurant by one of our hotel's employees. He was right on. Delicious food cooked fresh. We order the seafood soup and mixed seafood. Both were delicious. Prices are very accessible. The server was very nice with us. This is a Pop & mom restaurant. Nothing fancy. I would eat there again.
