When my family and I visited Montezuma, I recommended some of the restaurants that had high ratings. It was on this basis, that we went into El Sano Banano. On seeing the menu, my sons commented "Dad, What have you gotten us into? Just about all they have is vegan stuff". For chicken and fish dishes, this was a wonderful place. They do not serve any other meats. They also have a good breakfast menu, but we wanted bacon with our meal, so we didn't eat there.

Our room didn't smell so good or have any toiletries. On the flip side, the restaurant is really good (food and service) and they have movies every night.

We had the avocado sandwich and the tuna steak sandwich. Both good, but not inexpensive. The restaurant is interesting and in a good location. They also show movies at night, if you need something to do.

The breakfast menu was good, the lunch menu was fantastic, and the dinner menu was great. Perfect place for vegetarians and tex-mex fans. They also had all of the traditional Costa Rican dishes, sushi, and some other choices thrown in there. A bit pricy, but good for the quality of the food. I had the veggie fajitas, which came with three little fried tortilla cups filled with beans, salsa, and guacamole. Very tasty!

This is a delightful place to dine. Everyone from the wait staff to the chef were great. The mahi mahi was excellent.
