We enjoyed El Sano Banano twice during our week long stay in Montezuma, Aug 22 to 29, 2014, many delicious vegan choices. A must try is the fried plantains with salsa and guacamole dips, yummmy! The vegetable wrap also great! The staff is friendly and attentive, helpful and informative about the local area. And the best thing about El Sano... More

Very good place to relax. We stopped here before going to Ylang Ylang at the beginning of our trip and visited again for a few drinks and a movie later that night. Staff is super friendly and atmosphere is laid back and relaxing. It was a great place to wind down after a long road trip.

We loved the atmosphere here, especially outdoors in the evening with the tropical atmosphere and the lights lit. We thought the food was phenomenal and this was my 1st introduction to the famous Lizano sauce. From the typical Costa Rican Casado to the pizza on another night, ceviche with plantain dippers, and margaritas that were to die for, we loved... More

costa rica is not known for good food, but this place far exceeded my expectations: good food and EXCELLENT service!!! lovely setting. Number one place to go in montezuma alcohol was prohibited during semana santa but that is not their fault!!

Very cozy courtyard with a romantic feel. When the movie started the waiter had reserved a good spot in the movie area where we could enjoy our great food. I had the house pasta (very large portion) and my girlfriend had the chicken curry dish. We can highly recommend the garlic bread with guacamole appetizer as well. Great cinema with... More

I had breakfast at this restaurant and my experience was "ok." The iced mocha that I ordered was really good, but very small for the price. The French Toast that I ordered would have been really good had it been cooked thoroughly, instead it came out very wet and mushy, I could not even eat it. The portion was large,... More

This was a very good restaurant it had inside and outside dining. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, something you don't find in a lot of restaurants.

We had a great meal here after a long day of Hiking and Beach Hopping! Good Nachos, Smoothies and local Tico fare. We had three desserts and they were all very good. This is not cheap but fair price for very good service and good size portions.

We stopped by to have a coffee and tea, a brownie and a piece of chocolate cake. All latter three were a disaster! The water they use must terrible at least from what the black tea tasted. Both the cakes were dry like hell, literally without taste, but instead $3 each! Never again, not even for their evening movie screenings.

We ate at Sano Banano a couple of times and had drinks and watched the "Soccer" match when C.R. won! It's a great location and you can eat inside or out. Outside at night they have very nice lighting and great music.
