Good place for a yummy basic breakfast. And if you are lucky you will get visited by the white faced capuchins.

Very nice servers, delicious food, monkeys on the roof, what's not to love? I loved this place and look forward to eating there again!

Great place to sit and watch the world go by in the morning, little library opposite, away from, but near to, the over busy main street, birds and animals in the trees, some will come near for scraps, nice fresh juices and fresh cakes, etc

I think they opened just for us. The food was really good and there were a lot of choices. No alcohol, but it is mainly a breakfast and lunch spot.

For Costa Rica I felt like it was overpriced and just OK. They were out of wheat bread and something else basic that we tried to order. I didn't mind slow service it is Costa Rica and we were in no rush but the lady wasn't at all friendly (not typical for Costa Rica!). For what it is I just... More

We ate here because we had read they had good breakfast. The service was really bad as in, the waitress seemed like we were putting her out when we ordered. Also, we should have had french toast but both got omlette's because we wanted a bit more protein. The omlette's had no flavor and were cold. In addition to the... More

Wildlife indeed: a lizard drinking Balsamico at the table - nice. Otherwise: wide range of dishes but mediocre quality and bored waitress. Obviously they wanted to close the restaurant before seven (other potential guests were shooed away), so we were the only ones present. Thus, no good atmosphere. The batidos were the worst we had in CR, the meal was... More

monkeys, cats, dogs, horses, iguanas, and birds.... will join you at breakfast. this as far as we saw, was THE spot to see capuchin monkeys in town. the day before we even got to eat here, we saw a capuchin steal sugar, and a salt shaker from the table, hahaha. no harm done, don't worry. we ate breakfast here, the... Just spent two nights in Montezuma. Ate twice here--very nice atmosphere -- picture monkeys at play in the trees just beyond -- good coffee, delicious fresh whole grain bread and friendly server.
