I don't even know where to begin---we ordered shrimp and also arroz con pollo, as well as soup. They brought complimentary sangria before the food arrived, too! Service was slow---but this was because everything was being cooked to order, and so waiting was OK by me. Everything was perfect---each dish was the best I've ever had of it, and to... More

We brought a group there and while they were cooking, the whole place became so filled smoke from the kitchen that we had to open the windows. There were no ventilator fans. The food was extremely mediocre, the serving size was average, and given quantity and taste, the meal was overall very pricey. The octopus that some people ordered was... More

I am SO glad we chose to eat here. Definitely more than worth the very short drive out of town. Every bit of food was unbelievably good - the salads were fresh and flavorful, and the meal was the perfect size, interesting, and delicious! I had curry chicken, my friend had bacon wrapped chicken and banana kabobs. The sangria is... More

We came here for dinner in the off season and we were the only ones in the restaurant. It's a bit "far" from downtown Santa Elena (maybe 10 drive) but worth the drive! It is across the street from El Trapiche. It helps to just follow the signs to that if you are driving yourself. We ordered an appetizer, the... More

We ate here for dinner one night. It was the off season and we had the place to ourselves, but it was a great meal and the staff was very friendly. They cook the food right there in a small kitchen in the corner and everything we got was fantastic. Try the Brave Potato appetizer! Well worth it.

I absolutely LOVE this restaurant. A bit off the beaten path but it's small, intimate setting with good food at a decent price. The staff is fantastic and very attentive to your needs. I'd highly recommend it to anyone, not your typical tourist place and a hidden gem in Monteverde.

We really enjoyed our two meals here. The staff were wonderful. Food was great. Loved the Brave Potatoes! I wanted to lick the bowl. Sangria was served to everyone as an aperitif. Atmosphere was average.

I know its a bold statement, but during my time in Monteverde, this was the best dinner we had. I will warn you, when you are driving there or taking a cab, don't be alarmed as you head down this little road to the middle of nowhere. And that's whats great about it, you are away from the touristy parts... More

This is wonderful rustic restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. We met people who ate here the night prior to us and the waiter remembered our friends. He wished he knew they were there on their honeymoon. Great place and not expensive

We ate paella and patatas bravas...the sauce that came with the potatoes was not a traditional brava sauce...just garlic mayo, so that was a bit disappointing. The rice in the paella was really undercooked, which was a shame because the flavours were fantastic.
