Great typical Costa Rica food!

We loved it so much we went twice! Great little place for local cuisine or pasta at a fair price. We had spaghetti, soup, the typical casados and all of them were great!

I was there a couple of times, and I have to say that restaurant has a nice place and cuisine, for the next time I have to taste other dishes, it is cheap according to the food, and the service is quite good, also they are very fast preparing your food, so I want to recommend this restaurant in the... Food great and at a reasonable price considering where you are. Typical plates plus a big menu... can even get pizza delivered for kids from place on the corner! But the waiter seemed so cranky. Despite that, food came out VERY fast - for everyone (party of 7). We checked the other tables and they were getting their food too,... More

Had dinner there one night and the Imperial Beer was very cold, in fact had some slush in it, and was great. The food was very good and you are right on the beach. Service was also very good.

We always have at least one dinner at Tico y Rico when we're in Santa Elena. The food is good for the price. It is an especially economical way to get some fresh fish prepared nicely. We see other diners enjoying the Mexican entrees as well. The location right on the main street is great for people-watching.

This was our favorite spot in Santa Elana. We ate there two nights in a row. The typical chicken and fajitas are great. Make sure you say hello to the owner lady, she makes the experience! Go!

You'd easily walk past without stopping... And perhaps you'd head straight to the Treehouse restaurant... But this little spot serves up the most delicious local food, italian & mexican grub!... The Food: - I had the cerviche & fish soup (with water) Through my Central American travels, this was the best ceviche I've had and it was good value for... More

We didn’t plan well for our first night in Monteverde/Santa Elena and were wandering around town after a night tour at Curi Cancha. Bad karaoke turned us away from the Tree House Café and we ended up giving Tico & Rico a shot. Would say the experience wasn’t memorable in either a good or bad way, just an average meal... More

We recently visited Monteverde at the end of January and decided to try Tico Y Rico for dinner. We had exceptional service from our female server. The restaurant was busy and she was the primary server for the tables. She was quite organized and efficient which was very impressive. They offered a wide variety of food items on their menu....
