Description: SALT is a true oasis in the jungle. On the way to the National Park, look for the bright black and orange sign on the left hand side - step in and be transported into the rain forest! One of Manuel Antonio's only true "gringo" style restaurants with seafood and Italian specialties inspired by the owner's Brooklyn heritage, where he grew up eating and working in some of NYC's finest restaurants. The setting is the jungle - the service is upscale; but the vibe and the prices are purely down to earth. Start with an appetizer or salad (starting from $9.00) and enjoy a full menu with specialties from the sea and some comfortable pasta dishes - our highest priced entree is only $17.00 - a delectable Ahi Tuna. Like Music? Check us out between 3 and 6 PM every day for Happy Hour where a Jimmy Buffet vibe takes over the airwaves or come in for a candle lit dinner where a new age vibe makes the jungle come alive!

We had a fantastic meal here. Great seafood and good strong rum and coke. We turned up without a reservation (do book) having got a taxi. They however made space for us and we were able to sit at the bar which gave us a really good feel for the buzz and great interaction with the staff. We would definitely... More

I liked the people so much that I wish I could write a nice review however the food was just that bad! The food was presented well however the food was over-cooked and arrived cold. While the restaurant was not busy other people were sending their dishes back... Hope they can turn it around because the owner looked like he... More

A cool place, much more stylish and better designed than most restaurants in the area. One wall is the well stocked bar, and the back wall is missing: The restaurant opens to the jungle. Spercialising in seafood with strong italian influences, Small but sufficient wine selection without presenting a wine list. Unfortunately we felt rushed through our dinner in buzsiness... More

The owner sat with us and talked. He bought us a drink. The menu was creative. The decor was modern. The place is deceiving from the front. It is set in a jungle atmosphere.

This is a very nice restuarant in Manuel Antonio area. We were referred here by several locals who all stated that this was good quality. When we had dinner there, we found the food to be outstanding. My husband had a fish stew appetizer that was so good, we ordered a second helping!

We had had a rough travel day and Salt was just what we needed - excellent, elegant food. The tuna was unbelievably tender and tasty, the soups complex and delicious, the drinks tasty. And the atmosphere was charming. Definitely the best restaurant we ate at in Quepos. Go!

Quepos-Manuel Antonio has become one of our favourite places in Costa Rica. Lots of great restaurants, shopping and natural beauty and definitely designed for relaxation. SALT is one of the highlights on the dining scene with its distinctive exterior signage, dark, natural wood floors and tables and candlelights create an intimate atmosphere... and the open air dining area backs onto...
