BBQ?

i gave this 4-5 because my wife's fish dish was spectacular. The Mahi was amazing. Huge portion cooked in wood oven. My beef skewers were so so. In Manuel Antonio i would recommend eating fish. The beef is meh. I think we Americans are spoiled in the beef department. We saw some white face... read more

The food was ok, the drinks were ok, they had live music. Our waitress after she served our food was nowhere to be found then when she picked up our plates it took FOREVER to get her to give us our checks. never got my water refilled. Everyone got her attention except us. A large group of about 10 people... More

My wife and I had dinner at La Cantina the other night and it was extremely enjoyable. I had the Rib Eye and thoroughly enjoyed it. My wife had the Whole Fish and it was wonderful. We each sampled each other's meals and were both pleasantly surprised to find that one kitchen could put out such well prepared meat AND... More

The food wasn't the greatest. It was adequate. But the service. The waiter was drunk and kept on trying to make advances on an 18 year in our group. Right in front of all of us. We had to ask him several times to clear the plates. He was more interested in trying to talk to the young women than... More

La Cantina has a cozy ambiance with a train caboose decor and open space concept with open fire grill kitchen to show. There are two levels wherein the lower level has the local duet musicians playing their tunes (mostly Spanish with English songs in the mix), and the upper quiet area. The waiters are not all bilingual but are attentive.... More

Our second visit to this restaurant. First time was in October, when food and service were great, and we had live music as well *5 stars. Second visit was not so great *3 stars. Food was ok, no music as we ate pretty early and players had not yet set up and that was fine. Service was non existent though.... More

We stayed at the Costa Verde hotel across the street so this was extremely convenient. I love the open air and live music. The place has a wonderful ambiance and feels very intimate and private table to table. The furniture is gorgeous and unique. The wait staff was very pleasant, spoke English well and were very attentive. I'm not sure... More

La Cantina BBQ offers decent food, not remarkable , not bad. Service was very good. Prices average. The decor is nice, lots of wood. Comfortable seating, live music too.

The restaurant had a great atmosphere, good music from a live band, great service and the food was delicious. We choose to eat there three times over a week stay because we enjoyed it so much.

The front desk at Verde Mar suggested this place. It was delicious! We shared the ribs and a rice dish. Food was great, like really great. Nice atmosphere with a band playing. Didn't love the band's kids running around and screaming in the lower level. It definitely made the night a little less enjoyable...but, kids will be kids!
