I couldn't agree more!!!! The night we ate there we ate on the lower floor, which has a lot of noise from the band, and NO air moving. It was VERY hot. The mojitos are however AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! Food was average. I would go back, but sit upstairs; hoping it was cooler!!!!! And have another mojito!!!!!

If you're looking for a pleasant meal that doesn't represent Costa Rica in any way, this is the place for you. I wouldn't say the food is bad, but it also doesn't fall into the good category either. From my conversation with the typical entitled American at the bar(I'm also American) this was the place for him. Familiar flavors and... More

We really enjoyed our evening at La Cantina. The portions were a little on the big side although we hadn't realised that we'd ordered a starter each which actually should have been for two! My fish was great. My husband had the vegetarian brochette which was good. We enjoyed the live music, there was a latin band on and they... More

La Cantina had excellent servers (happy, helpful, relaxed) and a variety of different dishes to choose from. There were fish, chicken, & beef options catering to everyone. The food itself is tasty, cooked to order, and fairly quick. If you're in the mood for grilled options, this is probably a good choice however the price point is higher compared to... More

This restaurant is located right across the street from the hotel Costa Verde. It is owned by the same people and the customer service is out of this world. The food is awesome and reasonably priced. Go eat here. And, if you're lucky enough to catch some fish while visiting Manuel Antonio, bring it here, and they will prepare it... More

We wanted to hang out and listen to music while eating some dinner. They advertise the 2x1 burger special at entrance - Do not order - the meat is half the size of the bun and it seems to be old or dry meat. My girls shared the chicken nacho appetizer and also said it wasn't good. Atmosphere was okay,... More

it is a very laid back place. real wood fire bbq, good prices. Not a fancy night out, but a good place for a good meal and drinks.

We were hoping to find a tapas restaurant for some light snacks in the evening after a busy day. We gave this place a shot because of the live music advertised. The music was fun and entertaining but the menu was not too impressive. Instead of tapas, my husband and I shared an entree because nothing stood out. It was... More

We ate at La Cantana BBQ tonight and it was just ok. The atmosphere was nice. The service was the first that I would rate as poor in our visit to Costa Rica- - waiter was slow, unfriendly and disengaged. The main course for all six in our party was bland, the desserts were fair. The live music was good,... More

We visited this place because it seemed cousy withe the wooden fire and the classic train downstairs, we where not wrong. The people where amusing and there was a live band playing some Latin and other more known songs. An ideal mix with the food we ate. My friends where enthousistic about the grilled meat on the wooden fire. I... More
