The smoked grilled ribs were incredible as were the vegetables and the grilled fruit... The beef cuts were first served well done when ordered medium and then rare to replace.. The fired it some more, but the steak had so much grizzle in it you really could not eat it... So it was sent back.. The staff was excellent, cordial... More

We went looking for live music and good food, we found live music. They cook over a large open fire grill which is cool but the food was sub par and pricey. If you must go there, the atmosphere is neat and stick with ribs, it was the best thing our group ordered.

The BBQ food is excellent. Service swift and friendly. Prices are on the high side but we'll worth it.

After traveling 12 hours to get to Manuel Antonio we wanted to get some good food and rest. We were seated upstairs so could have a conversation without having to talk over the band. We ordered fish and shrimp dinners knowing they would cook quickly. After 45 minutes I asked the waiter and he said "just a couple more minutes"... More

I couldn't agree more!!!! The night we ate there we ate on the lower floor, which has a lot of noise from the band, and NO air moving. It was VERY hot. The mojitos are however AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! Food was average. I would go back, but sit upstairs; hoping it was cooler!!!!! And have another mojito!!!!!

If you're looking for a pleasant meal that doesn't represent Costa Rica in any way, this is the place for you. I wouldn't say the food is bad, but it also doesn't fall into the good category either. From my conversation with the typical entitled American at the bar(I'm also American) this was the place for him. Familiar flavors and... More

We really enjoyed our evening at La Cantina. The portions were a little on the big side although we hadn't realised that we'd ordered a starter each which actually should have been for two! My fish was great. My husband had the vegetarian brochette which was good. We enjoyed the live music, there was a latin band on and they... More

La Cantina had excellent servers (happy, helpful, relaxed) and a variety of different dishes to choose from. There were fish, chicken, & beef options catering to everyone. The food itself is tasty, cooked to order, and fairly quick. If you're in the mood for grilled options, this is probably a good choice however the price point is higher compared to... More

This restaurant is located right across the street from the hotel Costa Verde. It is owned by the same people and the customer service is out of this world. The food is awesome and reasonably priced. Go eat here. And, if you're lucky enough to catch some fish while visiting Manuel Antonio, bring it here, and they will prepare it... More

We wanted to hang out and listen to music while eating some dinner. They advertise the 2x1 burger special at entrance - Do not order - the meat is half the size of the bun and it seems to be old or dry meat. My girls shared the chicken nacho appetizer and also said it wasn't good. Atmosphere was okay,... More
