Breezy on the beach

Staff is very welcoming. English is spoken well. And they carry a small variety of craft beer from Costa Rica. Fish tacos are great. They also make fresh smoothies in mango, coconut and a few other flavors. Priced very reasonably being right on the beach. Kid menu is also available. TIP. They... read more

The thing that sticks out about this place is the wonderful ceviche and the beautiful sunset. We sat up on the second floor balcony with a couple coronas and watched the sun go down. We liked it so much we went back the following afternoon. We had grilled mahi and more ceviche. No complaints at all. The servers were always... More

Our concierge recommended this restaurant and called ahead for a table. I was impressed with the quality of food. My kids were getting tired of "Costa Rican" faire after a week traveling around so my son ordered spaghetti Bolognese. WOW! It was better than I'd had in some Italian restaurants. The rest of us had fresh fruit drinks and chips/guacamole.... More

We came here for happy hour and dinner one night. Restaurant is upstairs over the ice cream stand. (Which is also very good.) We stayed in a hotel near the park, and stuck to restaurants within walking distance. The mojitos were really good, and the view of the beach was nice. I had arroz con calamari (with fries); spouse had... More

But you cannot give a beach bar 4 stars. I do recommend it however. It is the most it can be in my books. Very friendly staff and good food. Delicious seafood. I will go again tomorrow. Warmly recommend the place. Specially in the low season the location attracts tourists so is pretty popular.

This was our first dinner on our amazing vacation in Costa Rica! The food was incredible, the drinks were perfect and the service was on point. The prices were great. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone.

I've eaten at at least five Michelin three star restaurants in Paris, not to mention Spice Route in New Delhi (rated by Travel/Leisure one of the world's ten best), Nobu (Mykonos) Oriental Bangkok, etc etc. but I've never had fresher tasting seafood than here. The atmosphere is sports bar casual and a bit faded. The food is cooked simply but... More

Great restaurant with friendly staff. I was made to feel very welcome with my six year old and my very messy baby :-) They would bring her treats to distract her so that I could actually enjoy the tasty food. The vegetarian cosada is great, and my son loved the pasta.

We had drinks and appetizers at El Sol. The people there are awesome. We were treated like family. The food is all local and fresh and superbly prepared. It's way better than typical sports bar fare. The location is directly in front of the main beach at Manuel Antonio and with the restaurant on the second floor it is ideal... More

We ate a few times at El Sol. The location was convenient to the beach and not too far of a walk from our hotel, La Posada. It was here that I was first introduced to Cascados. Yummy! Wholesome ingredients and plenty of it. Prices were reasonable too. We took advantage of Happy Hour and their 2 for 1 Pina... More
