This is a little pace in the hotel. Maybe 5 tables and definitely family operated. Brie quesadilla was delicious! What was amazing was the tuna Sashimi! After the first night we ordered a second. My husband had a seafood stew and it was amazing. I kept dipping my meal into the juices. I had the surf and turf (steak and... More

We enjoyed two meals here since we were also staying in the complex and it was convenient. The first time was excellent with delicious food and attentive service but the second was delicious but service was a disaster. We ordered and waited and waited...while three other tables came and went. Not sure what happened and it was a lovely evening... More

Our guide Manuel, recommended Villa Nicholas and it was an excellent choice. It is a quiet, out of the way place with only 5 tables and no view - but excellent service and outstanding food. We had a Brie quesadilla with mango and blue cheese salsa as an appetizer followed by a mango, fresh mozzarella and prosciutto salad and chili... More

I had the surf and surf (tuna and shrimp). Well presented and delicious food, however, it's quite pricey for the small portion size. This place only has few tables, which makes it a great low key place to have a peaceful and intimate dinner. The service is excellent.

this restaurant was next door. Very small with tables around a pool. Very good service in an low key Costa Rican atmosphere. Excellent service.

We were staying at the Parador down the road but had got tired by the sense that we were in California rather than Costa Rica, when we stumbled across this place. It's not obvious and, as it's name would suggest, is a restaurant attached to some villas, but it is separate from them and well worth the stop. The food... More

First of all the atmosphere and staff here are wonderful! The Fresh Fish (Sea Bass & Yellow Fin Tuna) were excellent! Kenneth is a great chef! We loved the mojitos and specialty drinks too! I highly recommend the restaurant at Villas Nicolas!

Dont be fooled by the peaceful outdoor patio. At first glance, the restaurant seems like a casual relaxed hotel restaurant but the food was the best we had in Costa Rica. I recommend the tuna and steak equally! To die for! The intimacy of the space makes for a wonderful date or girls night out like we had. A perfect... More

I highly recommend this restaurant. The setting is beautiful and quaint. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating, particularly considering the dietary restrictions of some in my group. My father wanted a plain, unseasoned piece of tuna on the grill, and the chef even came out to show him the piece of fish that he had selected for him! The... More
